My previous hotel manager experience has me wanting to pull my hair out with this one...but there was enough hair in the tub & Mattress pad on its own!! Yes, upon entering our room we were so excited to see the KING ROOM we requested had a jacuzzi tub that I didn’t request. So I’m thinking what a surprise perk, not at all. Most of their rooms are this way, so it wasn’t my lucky day. Then after recalling how I know you don’t ever use a hotel jacuzzi tub (unless maybe in a really swanky hotel), due to the back suction into the jets when turned off, this pulls hair dead skin cells and a swarm of nasty back into them until it’s released when new hotel room guest arrives to use it..no lie. And not us ever, but if u can pretend that’s not happening, in this hotel it is I’m sure. Jacuzzis must be flushed, then emptied/then jets removed/soaked/flushed multiple times to be somewhat clean. I promise housekeepers do NOT get the training they need, nor the time to properly clean these rooms. The Concord Inn, was a perfect example of this, with hair all over the tub, inside it, around it, just awful. Even worse, there isn’t a separate shower. So after I Lysol clean the tub (I’d recommend to do) we had to crawl over the walls of huge tub to shower. So I’d ask this specifically if you aren’t brave or just want a normal shower. The hotel does look great in lobby beautiful actually but guests don’t sleep there so I don’t get the suck in you at the front door to throw us to filth to sleep in. Our king bed has a twin mattress pad, I know cause I look for bed bugs. No bugs but the hairiest mattress pad I’ve ever seen. The mattress had a large lump on one side that almost made up need to switch rooms but if it’s not one nightmare you get two after you find one major issue I’ve learned. So all together, horrible tub, awful mattress, the worse pillows, sheets just thin and hard/rough feeling, the hallway/lobby was 100degrees no matter the time of day, a bad way to save money owners. The TV is so old my 4 year old actually made comments about it, your charged $20 each night for a requested microwave and fridge. May need since I’ve machines weren’t all working. Breakfast: waffles, standard hotel waffles. No toppings but syrup. Bagels, only plain. Two hot pans one with sausage links and one with scrambled egg mix stuff, Fruit, Apples only. Bread loafs white and wheat. Cereal, basic 4. Oatmeal plain. Juice machine impressive 4 options. And coffee did have vanilla creamer packets. The requirements to say you offer a hot breakfast we’re met, with the bare minimum of options. Not anything at all to think it’s an added perk unless your ok with the basics if so this does cover all of them. Can’t report on the tastes of them honestly since we decided on going out. The orange juice was great, this we did try and it wasn’t the gross sour kind some hotels set up to dilute too much to conserve. It was really good. Now the most important thing I do notice beside germ gathering areas in the hotels we stay in, is customer service. From the time of booking to checkout this is important. Wow this hotel had ZERO. I called from 5-11pm to try to book, no answer all night. The phone message came on to press 2 for front desk yet no answer. I would have found a new place but due to our family wedding booking here, we were was stuck here. I sent a comment to call me ASAP on the website, I was called the following day. Naomi, front desk manager was a very friendly helpful lady who did assist. Yet she couldn’t explain the phones troubles, she did get the room booked and answered my many questions. Cash/Credit Card Extra Info: to Book here you are required to put $60 deposit on a credit card only. We pay cash at hotels. Cash is fine but your still required the $60 on credit card for incidentals. The $60 hold (not charge) will be released on your credit card (they say 72 hrs) BUT it’s your credit card who makes this time frame to release your money they held. If you pay with credit card, there is no hold. After you checkout, your charges are made, your done. So be Leary if your short on funds, or you could be in a jam. Late check outs: typical hotel policy will allow one extra hour to check out no charge. WELL...just like a previous review of the hotel stated, it was allowed for us too (very late wedding reception) and they noted our room in their computer. I know I waited till she was finished doing so to avoid morning issues. WELL..we not only were woken up one time by a very apologetic housekeeper who stayed she wasn’t made aware by front desk, but the 2nd knocking came 30 minutes later by someone else who was so rude to my husband you’d think he was lying. Then at checkout since sleeping in this hotel is next to impossible for being woken up, the rude smile less front desk man quickly blamed housekeeping for being made aware just not noticing..both of them. No I’m sorry just oh well nice try on trying to get any additional sleep I guess. Then after speaking to a housekeeper outside on the sly I was told this is something that they are told to do to move guests out of their rooms faster. No joke. IF REQUESTING LATE CHECK OUT...don’t do so to try to sleep later, you will be interrupted multiple times. I didn’t even catch the other review stating this till after our stay, that only confirmed it. Next, the front desk gentleman whom I didn’t get a name for did not greet us, didn’t remove a 8x10 sign in our face that says to wait for help, he’s left the desk. He had ZERO smile, and clearly hates his job. He checked us out on Sunday morning after our late check out issue. I was shocked at the bland ok bye we got for staying. For honest reviews there must be some positives and they was...one. His name was John. Now the #1 (and only 1 )employee that went above and beyond was John. John found our bride and grooms wedding card box that was left at the desk counter when checking in late after the wedding. He didn’t notice it till much later in the night. After it was found and returned to the Bride and Groom it has been just remarkable that he was so concerned to track our family down for it’s safe return. They were so lucky to have an honest gentleman working that evening who just saved thousands of dollars in wedding cards.…
