Heading north on US-23, the next state park you'll encounter after leaving Tawas Point is Harrisville. While Tawas Point has the better beach, Harrisville definitely has the better campground, which is ironic given that it's much harder to get a reservation at Tawas Point. The...More

We were pleasantly surprised by this campground! Most campground that are known for having great beaches have little to no trees, but here you're still surrounded by nature! We stayed in site 42, but next time we're definitely aiming for a site on the beach...More

A lot of lakeside sites along with sites away from the lake. New bathhouse with family restroom/shower rooms and a dish washing station. Very clean. Also has a lot of private sites both on the water and off the water.

The beach sites are fantastic. Nice and wooded sites. The beach is clean with beautiful views. The campground is clean and the staff are friendly. I love the firewood vending machine. Fall camping here was wonderful.

What was the bathroom situation? I am reading they only have one shower house/ bathroom on the beach side. Was there a vaulted toilet nearby? I also ready some were padlocked. Any suggestions on what to bring, we are going this weekend. Thanks
