We loved our stay here! It was so nice and cozy. The lobby has a nice fireplace. TV in the room had a lot of channel options. The pool area was definitely the highlight. It was really nice but the hot tub was awesome because...More

Nice hotel, everything looked new or maybe recently remodeled? Room was quiet and clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub looked inviting, but we didn't have time to...More
The room was average, two beds, a mini fridge, microwave, but there was a "stain" on the headboard and a rather perverse picture that was drawn and left behind one of the paintings on the walls so it leads one to believe what that stain...More

Not a luxury hotel however clean and acceptable. Our room was not ready at 4pm check in is at 3pm.The front desk staff discounted us 50$ do to the room not being ready. The lake is about a 10 min drive.

According to Google Maps it's about 8 minutes from Holiday Inn Express to Baker Lofts. Since I have only stayed at the Holiday Inn, I cannot say whether other hotels would be better. I have heard from other hockey parents that the Hampton Inn, which is right next door to the Holiday Inn has a cool bar right next to the pool, so if kids are swimming you can have drinks and snacks at the bar. Holiday Inn did not have this, so we brought all of our own food and beverages to the pool area, but the staff supplied us with anything we asked for, such as cups, plates, utensils, etc. It also had an indoor/outdoor hot tub which was a huge hit with the kids. If you do not plan to use the pool with kids or a large group, then this may be a moot point. Holiday Inn is a nice clean hotel with great staff and free breakfast each morning. The 8 minute drive will be easy as Holland should not have much traffic (compared to Chicago, which is where I come from).
