Had made reservations a few weeks in advance via Wyndham site for double room and a few hours prior to my arrival, they called to ask if it would be OK to "upgrade" me to jacuzzi king because they were overbooked. It was late and did not want to find another option while driving, I agreed (my daughter was traveling with me, thus the request for two beds). Upon checking in, we went to the room which had 6-8 heater covers piled on each side of the door. The door key wouldn't work. The custodian say us struggling and assisted (the only good part about the stay was the kindness of this one person) so he got another key from the desk for us. Opened the door and was hit by a wave of stale smoke smell. The room was filthy - bedcoverings had red stains, the wallpaper was peeling from leaks, the window looked like it was about to fall out, the floors were not vacuumed, and the jacuzzi was wide open with wires/plumbing exposed. We decided not to stay so went down to checkout and were told we could not be refunded because our card was already swiped, and to call the manager in the morning. We went to a different hotel and when I called the next day, the manager refused to speak with me. Ultimately, I went through Wyndham Corporate and shared the same pictures as attached here. They wanted to give me award points but upon my insistence, they ultimately sent me a reimbursement check for that night. The franchise likely got to keep the charge they applied to my card which is very wrong and shady.…
We were attending our granddaughter's graduation at Western Michigan, and needed a room for just one night, something close to her apartment. We should have opted for something further away. I do need to say, the staff is very nice. The desk clerks were super, and the breakfast attendant was a joy. Unfortunately, the whole place (except for the front desk and breakfast room) was a disaster. The hallways are torn up for renovations, and reek of cigarette smoke. (What happened to no smoking laws?). The rooms were nasty, with frayed carpets, and the mattress on our king bed had a big hole which my husband had to fill with a pillow. Yes. A pillow. Someone had written "Jenna Boo" on our bathroom mirror with a bar of soap. Not sure if she was a maid, or a previous guest. There were no hand towels, a bath mat, or face cloths, only bath towels. As with the hallways, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The whole facility should be closed until repairs are completed. …
I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago, but it has gone downhill very fast. They are currently remodeling, but the whole place should be shut down until they can bring the rooms into a habitable condition. The sink was broken, furniture damaged, and overall looked very dirty.
Booked on Priceline 2 months prior to trip for a 2 night stay. Checked in after 8pm after a long day/long drive. Girl checking me in said she wasn't sure if she had any clean rooms, "would have to check, do you want to cancel the reservation?" Um, no, it's 8pm and I want the room I booked months ago. Waited 10 minutes and listened to her complain to her colleague about having to find a clean room. Finally got a key. The room was horrible. Smelled like old, dirty ashtray (I booked a non-smoking room). Door looked like it had been broken into and deadbolt didn't work. Dirty old carpet, stains everywhere, sink blocked up, TV remote not working. Whatever, went to sleep. The next day I returned after a long day and my key didn't work. Girl at front desk told me I "wasn't in the system" because I had been given a room that they normally don't rent out that is not listed in their system (errmmm???). Finally talked her into letting me in with a master key because I wasn't willing to stand there while she called management and tried to sort it all out. This place is so dodgy. Lots of dodgy looking people milling around. Pretty sure it's a homeless shelter. Was told that there was no breakfast available (even though the room was advertised as having free continental breakfast). I was tired and didn't want to go through trying to find another place to stay so I toughed it out. The staff were apologetic, but totally defeated. I can only imagine that the management/owners give zero fks about the quality of the place.…
I'm not even sure where to begin... This was the worst experience I've ever had! The room was filthy! The mirror hadn't been cleaned, the floor hadn't been vacuumed, one of the towels left for us to use was grey (supposed to be white), the toilet didn't flush properly - I could go on. There was a 1/2" gap between the door and the frame (because someone had to break into the room). Bottom line is they should have paid us to stay there.
