My partner and I took our wives for a fall trip and annual meeting. What a perfect spot to explore the area and then come home to a cozy place. Traditions is a wonderful quiet retreat in the country. It was built as a B & B, giving it the advantage of spacious comfortable rooms, all with adjoining baths. There are only three rooms, allowing for interaction with Bev and Steve, the cordial owners. The breakfasts were excellent and we certainly never left the table hungry.

My husband and I just stayed at Traditions for three nights and can't say enough about it. Bev and Steve were perfect hosts, the house was spotless and breakfast was much better than anything you'd get at a hotel. This was our first (not our last) stay at Traditions. We cannot say enough - wonderful location, beautiful home with a front and back porch, gracious host and hostess, and delicious breakfasts. This was my first visit to Traditions and I was very pleased with my stay. The breakfast were delicious with portions just the right size. The coffee was strong and plentiful. My husband and I just returned from another two night stay at Traditions. We have stayed there many times, and each time we leave very satisfied with our experience. We used to live in Mi, and wanted to refresh our memories with a trip back to Northern Michigan. Picked Traditions from internet blind, but it turned into an excellent choice. Really nice physical facility, friendly owners, very clean, and good breakfast. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Unqualified recommendation.

Our second stay at Traditions with Steve and Bev was just as enjoyable as the first in 2007 (?). We returned with friends for one night and wished we had booked for two or three. This was our first experience at a B&B, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Bev and Steve are very engaging people, and they keep their place immaculate. Traditions is located in the geographical center of the Leelanau Penisula between Suttons Bay and Leland about 1.5 miles north of M-204 on Eagle Highway (it's not really a highway). Eagle Highway will take you North or South and M-204 will take you East or West until you hit water. We are near "wine country" and the only road that crosses Lake Leelanau. 20 minutes will get you to almost any point of interest on the peninsula. Our home sets in a valley surrounded by hard wood forests, a plum orchard across the road and cherry orchards on the top of the valley ridge. Cell phones don't work here! We have 3 rooms each with private bath and queen bed, the house has central air, lots of parking and lots of quiet. We serve a full breakfast with a different menu each day. A walk up the road and you can see Lake Michigan and N/S Fox islands. We look forward to your visit. ... more   less
