My mother and I stayed here for three nights on a spa break with great food and wine. It was an absolute divine stay. The staff and their respective services are a great credit to Windmill Village Hotel which is one of the best Best Westerns I have visited over the years. We got off to an excellent start with the lovely Reception manager Lexy who was amazing to us as I was very stressed about my travel. All the reception team were great too including Maryam and Ibraham in particular. Speedy service with a smile. Housekeeping and Spa services were equally amazing too and understood our needs fully. My mother said it was the best massage she's ever had - by a lovely young lady with the shoulder length hair :-) I believe this was the Baobab Phytocare Full Body and Scalp Ritual. The restaurant and bar staff were amazing gems too. Special shout out to Salih and George - these two gentlemen were so personable and made us very welcome!! Also special mention to other team members who were professional and very caring too - Luke, Rob, Andre, Nim, Kendall and the lovely young man in the square glasses who served the meals at dinner. Dinner was great, - very tasty and presented beautifully. Wines and cocktails were nice especially cocktails made by Rob, the resident mixologist. Room was very comfortable and we received free fruit and juice every day. WiFi was good (less stronger in the rooms, but strong everywhere else). Lots and lots of hanging out spaces and a nice lunch menu. We left very happy and will certainly return. Thank you again guys - we really appreciated that nothing was too much for you and you made our stay perfect!…
We came to the Windmill village hotel for a spa day and i honestly cannot reccomend it enough. We had the facial and hand and foot refreshing ritual! From the minute we got there we were made to feel so welcome and they couldnt do enough for us. Everything was explained to us and the spa itself is so relaxing and tranquil. Poala is an absolute credit to the hotel, so professional and fantastic at what she does. The products they use for the treatments are also great! We have been before but they were using a different product! The one they use now is 5*. The heated beds are also a great touch! We got full access to the pool. sauna and steam room. We cannot wait to come back.
We were overcharged by £499 and 5 days later we have still not been refunded The reception staff were appalling and very unhelpful with one young lady using foul language while throwing what can only be described as a tantrum. The rooms are very small for the rates with no fridge or AC The WiFi in the rooms is almost useless There was a power cut and the emergency lighting was dangerously inadequate on the lower floor level The carpark is far to inadequate for the size of the hotel with great risk of damage to your car We use around 20 hotels in the UK a year and this is by far the worst experience we have had. We would recommend the Hilton double tree if you are looking for a hotel in this area. The only positive was the restaurant staff I could recommend using the loft restaurant as this was exceptional. The photos below are of the room and lack of emergency lighting in the lower floor corridor…
I booked two rooms some eight months ago for a one night stay to visit the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The hotel itself was fine, in fact very nice, in nice surroundings. One room was fine but the second was a box room (Bedroom 4) with no TV and an extractor fan outside the window which was noisy until late at night and started up fairly early in the morning. I requested a portable tv (as there was no sign that there had ever been a tv in the room) and was told they don't have one. Upon complaining again I was told I could have a free breakfast. When checking the out the following morning I got no apology when I raised the matter again. So much for a golf and spar hotel in nice surroundings!
We stayed here for the commonwealth games, very accessible. Excellent amenities. Excellent food. Staff were very helpful - we used room service, the bar, the restaurant, the pool. Very relaxed ambience.
We enjoyed a two night stay here in a deluxe room with patio doors opening out onto the golf course. Views were lovely, despite the hotel being next to a dual carriageway, we couldn’t hear any traffic noise. Staff are wonderful, helpful and very friendly. They really make the hotel. We had a problem with the coffee machine in our room and it was immediately replaced. They were helpful enough to arrange a taxi for us into the city centre, nothing was too much trouble. When my husband accidentally knocked our telephone off of the hook in the night, a member of staff arrived at our door within minutes to check everything was ok. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was also very good, self service hot and cold options. I would definitely visit again. Well done to all the staff at this hotel, brilliant service.…
Had tickets for 2 days at commonwealth games and looked for a nearby hotel with availability that I could afford. Nearly gave up on that until I found this hotel website. For little more than a premier Inn room on a normal day we had a king size deluxe room with complimentary fruit and drinks. Use of a nice pool. A dinner that was sensibly priced. 2 well made cocktails and a lovely view. Breakfast was busy but the polite staff coped really well and the receptionist was brilliant. We were 10 minutes from the NEC. What a find. I would definitely use this brilliant hotel again.
Stayed last week 21st July 2022 for our wedding, nothing was to much trouble every things ran smoothly and we so enjoyed the day with all our family and friends after waiting 2 years due to covid. Hotel was clean and all staff were so friendly
Arrived 40 minutes before 3pm after a 3.5 hour drive and refused to check us in. So went elsewhere until 4pm when we had to stand in a 30 minute queue to be able to finally check in. Turned down offers of dinner and breakfast as they’d already set expectations for their level of service. Definitely unimpressed.
We met up as a family (about 26 of us) at the Beat Western in Coventry to celebrate my Dad's 80th Birthday. The staff were great, really helpful and kind. We set up a photo board and balloons in the restaurant and they were really helpful with this and we were given all the time we needed to chat and enjoy the evening. The rooms were clean and well presented and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course, which was great.
