After spending the day hiking to the Ludington Lighthouse (Big Sable Point L.H), we were happy to relax in our room at Summers Inn. We selected the patio garden suite, and were so happy with our choice! We loved our room....so spacious and nicely decorated! I took time to sit on our patio, and enjoy the sounds of the water... Check in was a breeze. All the staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The breakfast omelets were the best I ever had. Lots of local fare in the wines and jellies that were served. The room was small, but clean.

I was very excited about our mini-getaway to Ludington and booked Summer's Inn because , after reading the reviews, it looked like something different and unique. My first sense when we went to our room was one of disappointment. We had booked a deluxe queen and there was nothing deluxe about it. The furniture was mix/matched ,the quilt on the... More

Hi! Summer's Inn is a seasonal property, and with summer behind us, our inventory of wine dwindled in October. We generally have 3 reds, 2 whites and a blush. Please come back and have a glass on us. Our Deluxe Queen rooms have a larger seating area and more floor space than our regular queen room and all include our... More

If you enjoy a good, homemade, sit-down, served breakfast, this quaint inn is for you. The rooms are spotlessly clean and updated, although the bathroom is small. They also accommodate early risers who are catching the SS Badger to Wisconsin. The staff are friendly, chatty, and helpful. The location is great ... easy to get to the parks, downtown, and... Nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are lucky to have such a great location close to downtown and the ferry and a nice stroll to the beach. Hope you had a chance to walk out on the pier to the lighthouse. Come back soon! More

A friend and I pulled into Summers Inn and were less than thrilled when we saw what looked like a second-rate motel, as we expected a hotel. We parked in front of our room which had outside access only. But the room was a sweet surprise. Although there was no closet and the bathroom was too small, it was spotlessly... More

wonderful staff, comfortable room, AWESOME breakfast, and 5 minutes from the car ferry!! would stay again, and highly recommend! not even 10 minutes from the most amazing sunset spot near the lighthouse, which we would not have thought of if it had not been recommended from the receptionist!! Thanks!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this quaint Inn. All of our needs were met and the owner even checked on us to see if there was anything we needed. I accidentally broke a soap dish and brought it with me in the morning to breakfast. I turned it over to the owner/chef and explained what happened.... More

First time passenger on the ferry which results in first time in Ludington. Traveling on business with co-worker who had stayed at SummersInn for years, but had not been there in 2 years. The owners had remodeled the rooms to more modern chairs and beds. Suzette showed us multiple rooms all with wood floors. Varies sizes provides options for whatever... More

My friend and I travel a variety of ways in one trip. One day camping and another day in a hotel. We look for anything in between for variety. This place was one that fit the bill. We had a sitting room, small kitchenette and gardens to relax in. Everything was clean, comfortable and in good shape. (You'll need to... More

The rooms are fairly plain, but comfortable. A full breakfast is included, and they do an early one for those leaving on the ferry. It was excellent! The ladies at the desk are wonderful and very helpful. It is just a few minutes from the ferry. We'd go back.
