The 80's is missing a hotel room! Lol, ok I'm exaggerating!  A Decent sized room and an actually quite large bathroom. It has a prefab Tub Shower combo, that only goes up about 6', so the normal. There's a desk and small table in the main room. Plus a normal sized hotel room TV. Room also includes a mini fridge! However there's no Microwave. The bed is stiff! My back didn't love it, but I slept decent. There's my normal complaint of hotels, the blackout curtain isn't very good.

There's a pool and hot tub outside. So depends on the weather!

They have a sign in room that says at this time housekeeping doesn't clean your room during stay, unless you request it. Therefore I didn't put up no disturb sign. However I returned to my room to find it cleaned up! This quite frankly annoys the hell out of me and will affect my ranking!

Overall a 3 star review. Would I return? Maybe. First I'd check out other hotels, if they were priced the same I'd try somewhere else first. Also not important, but the key into the room is larger than most by far, weird!

What a great find, nicely presented and clean motel with updated rooms that are spacious and super clean. Staff were all polite and friendly, the pool looked clean with an inviting poolside area. Despite being next to a busy road it was quiet and secure at night.
We had a room with a king bed and a whirlpool tub, the bed was clean and comfortable with nice quality sheets. We did use the whirlpool and it was also spotlessly clean and maintained.
Rooms have a fridge and a small microwave along with a single serve coffee pot. One very nice thing was a table and 2 chairs, we arrived late and grabbed a pizza on the way in, it was nice to have somewhere to sit and eat.
Will definitely stay again

We found the room to be clean and comfortable and equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave. It also had a table and chairs to sit and enjoy a meal or play a game. The grounds were bright and cheerful with a gazebo, swimming pool and lots of beautiful spring flowers. The hairdryer was not working in my room, but they instantly gave me a new one. I definitely recommend staying here.

I took a 4 minute shower and 4" of water wouldn't drain from the tub. 1 hr and 45 mins later the tub had the same amount of water in it. Extra drill holes and dirt on the walls. Clearly this room had drain issues. Thanks for notifying us she said. I said probably the lest few guests also said the same thing. This is not a slow drain, it's totally blocked, and there was a leak on the front side of the tub that leaked onto the floor . The photo with tissues on the floor shoe the leak. Grab and go breakfast was bagels, cream cheese type stuff. No bagels just white bread. They did have juice boxes and yogurt. The mattress was fine, AC was good, and I slept fine. Glad the wife didn't come as it was a dingy room and not what I had hoped for. had the room been excellent I wouldn't have slammed their unsympathetic response, and their attempted to get a free night out of me. But with the tub drain and grease on the walls, I wanted to note it.

We were without power for three days, and this was our last night away from home before our power was restored. The room is very basic, with a tiny shower in the bathroom. Our only complaint about the room was the small gap where the door didn't seal. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but the person in the next room started his diesel truck early in the morning to let it warm up, and the fumes started creeping in. I know it makes housekeeping easier, but I wish the staff would have left some space between the occupied rooms. There were probably ten rooms in use, and they were all bunched together. As others have said, this is an old-style motel, where the room doors open right into the parking lot. Very nice staff during our brief interactions (on the phone, then twice in person). For old-timer visitors, I believe ownership has changed since the 2021 season.

Room Tip: The buildings are laid out in a U shape. The "leg" on the west side is the quietest.

We stayed here for the pool/hot tub and never got to enjoy it ( Our fault for have too good of a meal at Jamesport Brewery). Clean, all decent, nice small room. Many bikers were also here. They had huge group sitting around the gazebo and in the yard, just chatting and enjoying the wonderful evening. Wish we could have joined in but the food coma hit us. Bed was hard - One of us hated it, one of us loved it.

This is a very nice motel, however needs some updating. Very clean, staff is very friendly. Probably a bit over priced for the accommodations. No microwave, no mini fridge. Coffee is served at 7 so if your leaving before that you will need to stop somewhere else for your morning brew.

We are on a cross country trip and are in Ludington to cross Lake Michigan on the SS Badger. What a delightful surprise is the town of Ludington. Even more so was the Viking Arms! Old school motel architecture, lovely trees, gazebo and sitting areas around the pool. From easy check-in, to park-in-front of your room convenience; we needed a clean, comfy room for the night and it delivered.
Thank you for this unexpected
gem Viking Arms, I will forever remember drinking a gin and tonic, and playing a trivia game with my family, under the trees at your hotel.

We stayed two nights at the Viking Arms in mid-July and had a great time. Dave and Dawn are wonderful hosts and keep a great, locally-owned "mom and pop" hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool was absolutely perfect. This is truly the place to spend your Ludington vacation.
