Stayed here for a night and thought it was a bargain. Comfy bed, clean room, friendly staff. Parking was a bit tight but not really a problem. Less than a minutes walk to McDonalds and Harvester. Breakfast was basic, but nice.

Decided to stay here again as needed to be local for family issues, On arrival, parking can be a nightmare - the hotel is on the same site as a Harvester restaurant and also a 24/7 McDonalds so always busy. Check in by Ryan was very smooth and efficient - even with the dog in tow, who received a welcome gift bag of chews, poo bags and a tennis ball. Nice touch. The ground floor room was standard HIEx fare - modern clean and tidy and ok for one night - the bed proved to be really comfortable! We didn’t eat in the hotel on the evening but the bar is open until 0200hrs so a bonus. Breakfast is again typical buffet style - we got in there for 0845rs, right in the middle of hoards of screaming kids and people intent on stacking up their plates as high as possible, then leaving the detritus on tables and floors for someone else to clear away. Even though we were there in plenty of time (b’fast ends at 0930), there was very little breakfast left at 0900 and no sign of a top up coming along. Now my gripe! There were at least three dogs staying at £25 per stay surcharge so the staff were aware we were there. Yes, the dogs were allowed in the restaurant, but only in the non carpeted section - where there were the usual low coffee tables and no proper sit at tables… once again dog owners pay extra only to be treated as pariahs and hidden away. There is no reason at all, knowing the number of dogs staying, why the same number of tables couldn’t have been moved 2m into the non carpeted area with a “reserved” notice. And I guarantee that those three dogs did not leave any mess on the floor, unlike the uncontrolled hoardes of humans. Yes, I would definately stay here again, but would possibly foresake the breakfast experience and grab a McDs breakfast from across the car park.

Stayed for two nights and had a great experience. Staff could not be more helpful. Our daughter is coeliac and they had a great selection of gluten free breakfast options. Very dog friendly too with a ball and treats for our pup. Rooms clean and well kept. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst working nearby. Check in went very smooth with the staff on duty very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and well kept with everything you need for a short stay. The hotel has a limited dinner menu but there is a McDonalds next door and an Indian restaurant and Harvester nearby. The only downside is how busy the car park and surrounding area is due to the McDonalds customers

It was OK, really comfy bed, very clean, doesn't allow you to pay by cash which was very annoying as we don't use cards, had to get a relative to put money un my bank which meant I had to pay by my card, due to covid blah blah blah, it doesn't exist anymore so everything should go back to normal!! Breakfast was OK, food cooked to standard.

Had to book an emergency room when we were rescued by RAC after being stuck for 6 hours on M5 after major incident on Monday when clutch went on my car. From the initial face to face booking with Nat on our first arrival, to Dave taking over the next day, the staff could not have been more friendlier, sympathetic, generous and helpful to me, my wife and our diabetic dog, Nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like royalty and made to feel at home after what was a very stressful time. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will stay there whenever I'm in the area.

Stayed here on our way down to London. Greeted with a smile at the reception and quickly and efficiently checked in. Lobby area, lift, corridoors all very clean and tidy. Good sized, clean room with all the usual stuff like hair drier etc. and also very clean. Had a meal next door at the Harvester and it was pretty good. Now, my partner and I are not relatively big people, and we'd booked a double room so expected at least a double bed. Not really sure if it was a double bed in our room but definitely felt smaller when we went to bed and to be honest, didn't sleep that well. It was too late to bother enquiring about it but will check before booking next time. We know that most competitor hotel chains are now putting king size beds in their rooms so come on Holiday Inn, you can really do better. Things got slightly worse when we went down for breakfast. It seems Holiday Inn automatically includes breakfast in their rates these days rather than offering it as an option, which is fine but the quality of ingreadients obviously don't matter to them. Bacon was hard and tasteless, sausage had a bone as well as a massive chunk of grissle, so just left it on my plate. And no beans despite being told twice they were getting some. However, can't fault any of the staff as they were all very polite and pleasant.

We were extremely happy with everything about the hotel, welcoming staff, clean room, despite being close to the motorway it was surprisingly quiet, we slept well. Breakfast was good quality and hot. We chose this hotel as it was close to our son’s wedding venue. We had no regrets
