If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from the crowds, then this is the place to go! Always a great view of the Mackinac Bridge and relaxing environment from the downtown hustle. Peaceful walks in the park and excellent views from pictured rocks. The outdoor pool is being remodeled for this summer.

Our first visit to the island and we booked this hotel to be away from the busyness of the main drag. It was the right choice. The Inn sits on a beautiful piece of property and our room had a view of the Mackinaw Bridge. The staff was superb! The Inn serves a magnificent breakfast which varies slightly each morning...

We stayed in the Woodcastle Room on the 2nd floor of the Mansion in early October, 2016. This was our second time in this room and it was just as perfect as I remembered. I think we only left the Inn one time to have dinner in town. Just being at the Inn calms me and allows me to totally...

If I had to choose my favorite season up here, I would also choose fall! Though each season does have its own sort of "special". The colors are so vivid, the pace of the island has calmed down, and the serenity sets in. I am glad to know that Stonecliffe has a special place in your heart, and extra happy...

I have been visiting Mackinaw Island for both business and pleasure for the last 15 years. When i first started staying on the island i always stayed on the main drag with all the hotels and bars. I found the hotels on the main drag have mostly small rooms with little amenities. After a few years of staying downtown in...

Thank you for such a kind review! It is great that you pointed out that we have two very different type of accommodation to choose from. One can choose the Mansion, which is in a building that was built in 1904... the rooms are full of character, yet richly appointed. There is no air conditioning or elevator in the mansion,...

The Inn at Stonecliffe is a beautiful place to stay while visiting the Island! Both the mansion and the summer house have their own unique charm. Breathtaking views of the bridge, especially during sunset. Staff was very accommodating and inviting, willing to help with anything you may need. We dined at the Chop House restaurant and it was excellent. The...

I wanted to take a minute and give a shout to the Inn at Stonecliffe. My girlfriends and I have a girls weekend and we have stayed at the Stonecliffe for the past two years. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to tell us about your stay. I cannot agree more... Stonecliffe is the perfect getaway for a girls' weekend, or any sort of getaway. We are far enough from downtown that you can enjoy some peace and quiet, and only a quick carriage ride, bike ride or walk to all...

If you are looking for a location that exemplifies customer service this is the place! They leave you feeling like royalty! Everything thing was great! The rooms were spacious and clean. The newly renovated Summer House was very nicely appointed. The only thing better than the food quality was the service staff! We are definitely coming back soon!

The staff and accommodations were excellent especially Laura at the front desk and James in the bar. We felt like family and that Laura would have done anything to make our trip better. We will definitely be returning to the Stonecliffe in the future.

Being my 2nd time here, I absolutely love it. It's away from the busyness of downtown Mackinac Island, making it extremely peaceful. The Inn is charming with great amenities and antique features. The breakfast is amazing and the staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend visiting the Inn at Stonecliffe as an individual, couple, family, or friends. :)

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inn at Stonecliffe enjoys a storied place in Mackinac Island history. Built in 1904 as a family summer escape by industrialist Michael Cudahy, Stonecliffe has enchanted guests for nearly half a century. Situated high on the west bluff, Inn at Stonecliffe lodging comprises a classic Tudor-style mansion that offers 16 bed and breakfast style guest rooms, and the more modern Summer House Suites, with 31 richly appointed suites decorated in a classic summer cottage style with a light Victorian influence. Overnight visitors to Mackinac Island often observe that the best time to enjoy the island is in the early morning or late evening when the last ferry has carried the daily visitors back to the mainland. At The Inn at Stonecliffe, you’ll enjoy that feeling every moment of your stay. Anywhere you turn, tranquility and relaxation await, from the breathtaking bluff-top views of the Straits of Mackinac and Mackinac Bridge to the Inn’s lush, rolling lawns.Special Services and / or Features: • Breakfast Included• Air Conditioning• Onsite Dining and Cocktail Lounge• Weddings and Events• Kitchenettes• Bike Rentals • Cable Television• Outdoor Heated Pool• Private Baths• Telephones• Complimentary Wireless Internet• Non Smoking ... more   less
