Our room was in the Summerhouse, a modern building a short walk from the main building and restaurant. The room was more of a suite, with an over-sized bedroom, a wet bar area and a TV room adjacent to the patio doors and wooden deck. The king bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and well-attended to during our stay....

We just had our wedding at the Inn at Stonecliffe and everything exceeded our expectations! Everything was absolutely beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond to meet any needs of the bridal party and guests. They have some of the hardest working staff we have ever encountered! Trey was there working hard on every aspect of the wedding and...

We had a good time at this historic Inn, but came away not as impressed as the reviews indicated we would be. The historic mansion and the very kind and helpful staff were definitely positives. However, especially for the price charged, the rooms were dated, run-down and ordinary and the towels were small and insufficient in number. And while the...

This is a hidden gem to stay away after spending the day on the busy main street on the Island. The grounds are beautiful & well maintained with many walking trails. Thanks, Justin & Cory for answering all our questions & the rest of the staff for making sure are stay was enjoyable.

We stayed in the Mackinaw room. Very bright and spacious. We had an amazing view of Mackinaw bridge. The staff is very friendly and helpful and added to the overall comfort of our stay. It's located a ways from the major restaurants and shopping ares so does limit your evening choices but the serenity and peacefulness is wonderful. We had...

This was our second stay at the Stonecliffe and I don't think I'd ever stay anywhere else. As you depart from the ferry dock, the hustle and bustle of Main Street can be a little overwhelming. But as you approach the inn, hidden among a forest on a hill overlooking the Island bridge, the calmness and solitude descend and you...

We stumbled upon the Inn at Stonecliffe one year and we keep coming back! It is by far the best accommodations we have had while staying on the island. The Mansion rooms are our favorite. You get the historical feel from being on the island when you stay here. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are all awesome! ....every single...

If you want to get away from the noise and crowds of town, this is the place. Very nice setting on the west bluff. My wife and I brought our bikes and after the Grand Hotel climb it is an easy ride. The hotel brought our luggage from the ferry dock to the hotel at no charge. The breakfast was...

I really loved the view of the bridge from our room and liked that it was quiet. However it's over a mile from everything so I wish I would have brought my bike. We rented bikes one day but the other days we had to walk the mile to eat- they also had horse taxis but it is $7 per...

We stayed at 2 different properties while on Mackinac Island, and they were completely different experiences. Our first two nights were at Stonecliffe. The Inn is old and beautiful. It's easy to get caught up in the sensation that you are back in time when you arrive at Stonecliffe. It is 2 miles from downtown and very quiet. We stayed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inn at Stonecliffe enjoys a storied place in Mackinac Island history. Built in 1904 as a family summer escape by industrialist Michael Cudahy, Stonecliffe has enchanted guests for nearly half a century. Situated high on the west bluff, Inn at Stonecliffe lodging comprises a classic Tudor-style mansion that offers 16 bed and breakfast style guest rooms, and the more modern Summer House Suites, with 31 richly appointed suites decorated in a classic summer cottage style with a light Victorian influence. Overnight visitors to Mackinac Island often observe that the best time to enjoy the island is in the early morning or late evening when the last ferry has carried the daily visitors back to the mainland. At The Inn at Stonecliffe, you’ll enjoy that feeling every moment of your stay. Anywhere you turn, tranquility and relaxation await, from the breathtaking bluff-top views of the Straits of Mackinac and Mackinac Bridge to the Inn’s lush, rolling lawns.Special Services and / or Features: • Breakfast Included• Air Conditioning• Onsite Dining and Cocktail Lounge• Weddings and Events• Kitchenettes• Bike Rentals • Cable Television• Outdoor Heated Pool• Private Baths• Telephones• Complimentary Wireless Internet• Non Smoking ... more   less
