We were looking for a basic and clean place to stay for a single night while traveling between two campground destinations, and this location was perfect for our purpose. The facility was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting around the "campfire" (in a portable fireplace they rolled into the parking lot)...

Jennifer & Terry were the consummate hosts! We had a relaxing, fun vacation staying at the Lamplighter. Clean, friendly, with a location off busy downtown area, but within walking distance of everything. Nightly bonfires and conversations were fun! We stayed in the "Up North" room complete with fridge, coffeemaker & microwave. We will return again to see even more local...

I consider this a mom and pop motel, but what a wonderful motel! Very clean with very pretty fresh plants and flowers all over. The rooms are on the small size but some have two beds, two rooms. Very nice. Terry is such a nice guy and has a fire in his firepit every night for all the guests. We...

We stayed in the themed room "Grannies Cottage" while we were there and it was just great. This is a small family owned and operated motel and the service was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was like going back in time 50 or 60 years or maybe even more. But really the best thing there is...

Love this small charming motel, Somewhere In Time theme room a plus. Clean, comfortable, great rates and short walking distance to downtown and more. Owners are very friendly and willing to share their hometown stories. Love their old car collection.

I love this little hotel... it has everything I want from location to rooms to service... but most important are the owners who care about your experience (they're really cool people) and the fun side-activities they do, and that you're brought back to the good-ol-days of travel. It's easy to imagine what it was like to visit Mackinaw decades ago...

We stayed just one night on June 17th. We stayed in a two bedroom room which was very nice. Beds/pillows were comfortable. Not a bad walk to town at all. Staff extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Great place within walking distance to town and ferry. Owners are very friendly and made us feel welcome. They only had one room left and advised us to see it first because it was their smallest room. The room , although small, was so cute and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and just perfect for our one night stay. The...

This is a great place to stay. It isn't the Ritz but makes up for it in many ways. Nice clean themed rooms. Easy walk to downtown. Nice park across the street. The owner, Terry, had a warm bonfire for us and as an added bonus let us know about the space station which passed overhead as we sat in...
