Thanks Barry and Nancy for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts and had a lovely nights sleep in the Hiawatha Room. Only a couple of negatives it would be nice to have access to hot water and drinks throughout the day. And it would be better for you to give people a chance to settle in before taking the...

This place won't disappoint if you choose Deer Head Inn. Barry and his wife made you at home with their knowledge of the area and the nice breakfast spread. I really had no idea where in town it was located, but greatly surprised to find it was only a block of 'the strip', to which we walked to Shepard's Dock....

We started our week long road trip with two nights at the Deer Head Inn and no regrets. We arrived at 2:00 to check in and the room was ready. We were greeted at the door by Barry and made us feel welcome from the start. He showed us around the b&b then to our room. Very clean house and...

Excellent place, friendly and informative hosts. Very clean and well cared for. Located in the heart of mackinaw city and just a quick walk away from the bridge and ferries to the island. Breakfast was amazing (no need for any food until dinner after that meal)! We will definitely stay again.

Friendly and helpful inn keepers. Barry and Nancy makes you feel at home and they give you the best advice on where to go and what to try. The B&B is one house off Main Street and 2 blocks from Shepler's Ferry. Very accessible to your needs.

We just returned from a short visit to Mackinaw city and I highly recommend the Deer Head Inn if you're looking to stay in the area. The Inn is very well kept and a short walk to the ferry launch to get to the island. It's also just a hop skip and a jump to town. We were impressed with...

We loved our short stay at Deer Head Inn. The hosts showed us to the Hemingway Suite which was spacious and spotless! The fireplace was so cozy while we watched movies from the hosts collection. Comfy recliners, great 4-poster bed, jetted tub and scrumptious breakfasts were just the start. The hosts are really knowledgable about local attractions as well as...

My husband and I escaped our lives for a couple of days and choose the serenity and quiet of Mackinaw City (AFTER TOURING SEASON). It was a good plan. All was quiet and the Inn provided comfort and relaxation. Barry and Nancy were wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed breakfasts! While some of the restaurants and common shops (summer t-shirts...

The Deer Head Inn was a wonderful surprise. Our room faced the street but it was very quiet at night. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. You do have to carry your suitcases up a short, narrow stairway. Breakfast was outstanding! The innkeeper and his wife were friendly and gave us great tips on seeing Mackinac Island....

I stayed here while attending a conference up north and enjoyed my stay. The room I stayed in was the lighthouse room which was well decorated in a lighthouse theme. The bedding was comfortable with a fireplace in the room. The inn keepers have soaps made up for them that they put in the rooms. The one downside to the...
