Very pet-friendly with hardwood flooring in the room to address any pet accidentals. Nice lounge area to give stayers a break from the room. The pool and gym are great additions. It was also a bonus to have access to coffee around the clock.
First time using this budget offering by Hilton. Very modern and bright. Very clean with all the amenities to provide a comfortable stay. Great location just off I-75. Good choices for breakfast and an awesome Italian coffee!
Met our expectations for a budget hotel while passing through on a family trip. Employees provided good service. Rooms were modern and clean, but a bit small. Relaxed environment. Would stay there again.
I really enjoyed my two-night stay here. The hotel and rooms were super clean. Parking is ample and staff is friendly. The breakfast was better than most free breakfasts I've had at other hotels. My only complaint was that other guests did not adhere to the quiet hours, were loud, and woke me up several times during the night yelling and talking loudly.
Let me begin by saying Brian at the desk is outstanding! I’ve never received such excellent customer service at hotel( and I travel a lot). The hotel is trendy. It has an efficiency feel. Small rooms and a great shower. Perfect for a night or two or if you are there just to sleep. Nice morning breakfast. Now the morning and overnight staff could use a little lesson in customer care. The pool is nice. The hotel lacks a hot tub and coffee maker in room. So but thumbs up to Brian. I would stay here again just for his excellent service and care with guests. The lobby decor is pretty nice as well. The rooms are meh.
Let me start by saying Tru is more of a trendy hotel. Not the upscale hotel I would expect from the Hilton brand. The place is clean. Room are tiny with no coffee maker. The last working breakfast was pleasant. Kristina at the desk was unpleasant and all together miserable. Apparently she's some sort of manager but with her attitude I wouldn't want her to represent by brand. Brand and Cheryl went above and beyond when I asked for suggestions or needed extra towels or anything. When asking about food suggestions, Brian recommended a bar with mashed potato pizza. It was superb. Had I bot listened to his recommendation I would have never given the place a 2nd thought. Aside from Cheryl and Brian there's nothing outstanding about the hotel. They charge Hilton prices but are Econo Lodge quality room... Albeit cleaner.…
As a extended family in town for a funeral this hotel worked out awesome for us. We were able to gather outside in lounge seating and in the huge lobby area to visit and eat together. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly, nice and very accommodating to us all as a large group! The beds and pillows were comfy! Would definitely stay there again!
We stayed one night at Tru by Hilton in Monroe Michigan, I have to say it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel was so clean and and accommodations were top notch. My 2 kids were so impressed with the continental breakfast, they now want a pancake maker for home! A women named Desa works in the breakfast area and she was wonderful and so helpful. Another great employee we met was Cheryl that was working the front desk. Both women were so personable and made our stay very enjoyable. I give this particular hotel 5 stars! Thank you, The Thomas Family
The staff was not courteous at all. They made me feel like I was bothering them when we asked for towels. We stayed at this Tru by Hilton for 5 days and they came once to clean the room (even though I asked if they could just freshen up the room). Also, we continuously had to ask for towels (three people, one room, 5 days). The first day we get there the room had remote control blinds that didn't work, we called down to service and we were told there would be no one to fix it til in the morning. The next day someone came (after reminding them) the guy said it was not charged so he plugged it up. Got back to the room, still not working, long story short, the blinds stayed up the entire 5 days we were there. When the repair guy came, he was like well it's broken and I told him that I really don't feel comfortable letting the world see me change, etc. His reply was well it's just an old closed down warehouse. My thoughts were so let the street people see me then? Yes, they did offer to change our room the last night around 9 pm (what's the point?). They didn't even have a coffee maker in the room. When I asked if this was every room, I was told no but we have a station downstairs. What if I wanted to drink coffee in my underwear? And every night, someone above us was walking/running so hard that is all we heard all night. We always stay at a Hilton brand when traveling (Honor Members) and I really think this stay has left a bad taste for the Hilton Brand. Thinking about trying out another hotel chain, maybe they at least won't make you feel like you are begging for towels.…
I really loved this hotel. I like the style of it and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. I love the pool table and chairs in the lobby. It’s a great place to unwind.
