I booked my room with a third party service. The manager of the Monroe, Michigan Hampton Inn, Philip Patel canceled my reservation so that he could rebook my room at a higher rate. This cause me to use my credit card twice for the same stay, then I had to call the third party device and get them to credit back the original charge to my credit card. First time this has happened to me. I can say that I will never again stay at the Monroe Michigan Hampton Inn. Beware!
The hotel was quiet and the staff were pleasant. Our room was clean and spacious! The breakfast was typical hotel continental but very adequate. Speaking of food, there is a Red Lobster right next door!
This was just our first stop on our way to Florida. The room and most everything was nice enough. We did the digital checkout on the phone but never received the receipt like we should have. I did call later that day and Jessica was very helpful and sent it right out. Our biggest complaint was when my wife went to the desk to turn in our keys she asked for some bottled water for our upcoming 7 hour drive she was told she couldn’t have any because we were not Diamond Members!!! We have been Hilton Honors members for many years and never been refused. Most places just ask if we want some water when we are checking in. In fact, at our next stop in Kentucky they just handed us a bag with two bottles already chilled. At our stop in Georgia they told us there were two bottles already inside the refrigerator. We found this very disrespectful and cheap!…
The Lobby upon check in was clean and welcoming, front desk staff were knowledgeable and efficient during check in process.I was a woman traveling alone and always felt safe and secure in my room. The staff was very pleasant, while going out or coming back I was greeted and made to feel like they were happy to see me. I will definitely stay here again.
The location was great. I arrived very early and knew I had to wait a bit so I made myself comfortable in the lobby and had some coffee and caught up on work. The staff allowed me to check in not long after I arrived which was 2 hours earlier than the standard check in. I was very appreciative! Thank you.
The room was clean and in good condition, the breakfast was at the upper end for hotel food with a good selection, but my biggest rave is for the hotel personnel. All were friendly and extremely helpful!
The hotel was great. Clean, quiet. Nice size room. Highly recommended. Beds were comfortable. Hotel is close to some restaurants and gas stations. Very nice place. If you are going to be in the Monroe area, great place to stay.
Clean room and common areas. Pleasant and professional staff. Everything I expect from a Hampton Inn. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Very easy highway access. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Stayed here while attending a family event. Clean, spacious and quiet rooms which appear to be recently renovated. Pleasant knowledgeable staff. Only issue was when requesting a late checkout I was told it would be a $25 /hr charge, even though the property wasn't full. Have never experienced that charge before. I assume it was a company policy as the desk clerk seemed somewhat embarrassed when passing that info along to me. Would stay again if in the area.
Arrived about 1:00 AM after another Hampton canceled our prepaid reservation. Jill was very kind during our check in process. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice breakfast available with eggs, sausage, and waffles. We were still in the breakfast area at 9:00 and the employee checked if we wanted anything else before they closed the breakfast We would definitely stay here again.
