Came for the weekend got there on Friday night Libby ( not sure if I spelled it correctly )is Awesome l!! Great customer service and patience. Birthday girls trip for my best friend and she definitely had patience for us All lol . She made the stay no hassles and worry free l! Didn’t care for the second floor Morning clean lady she had attitude and told us not to take anything off her cart which we were only about to get in elevator her assumption really didn’t sit well with me and messed up the positive energy while going to get morning coffee . Early morning Desk clerk was very nice she kept smiling and having great customer service saw her going over and beyond cleaning and helping Great attitude. Over all great experience minus the inconvenience with the lady the rooms were clean and Great location from everything . Definitely will stay there again.

The lobby and halls need to be updated. The room was very clean. The air conditioner was great. Parking was easy. Beds slept well. Good hot water with good water pressure. It sounded like a herd of elephants running around above us, but that was taken care if after we called the front desk. There wasn’t a lot to do in the area but it’s a good place to stay on the way to your destination.

We came here to celebrate my daughters 14th birthday. We got to the hotel and there were ants in the room which I ignored because I figured hey it happens ao we go down to the pool and that’s when nonsense happened. 4 kids were playing in the pool and a lady came in to tell them if they couldn’t be quiet that she would shut down the pool. The door is open to the pool room and when I asked if we could shut the door so that way she couldn’t hear us in the lobby she said the ventilation system is broken so the door has to be open which I’m not sure how long that has been broken but it doesn’t look like anyone is here to fix it … mind you just talking in a normal voice creates a massive echo in this room. She then proceeds to tell me that she has had 3 guests call down and say they can’t sleep because of my kids playing in the pool… it’s 7:50pm when she came in which I pointed out to her and the pool is open until 10pm. The pool also sits off to the side of the building and isn’t underneath any rooms. She said that the cost of the stay only covers the rooms and the amenities such as the pool could be shut down to respect other more important guests. Because us buying two rooms is not important enough apparently. On top of all of this there is plaster from the ceiling caving in all over the pool room. I don’t ever complain but I came on here just to let other people know to stay away from this establishment.

The first room we were given had moldy, barely usable AC, dirty floors and sub-standard conditions. Room 317 was a train wreck. When we approached the front desk there were other issues with guests (items not working in their rooms) so we knew we were in for a long evening. The second room we were given was barely any better. The AC did work, but the room was dirty and food was left in the fridge from a previous guest. Not all appliances worked which is unacceptable (light flickered, fridge was warm). Safety hazards included a warped floor that bowed and the shower floor was slippery with a film on it so we had to stand on a bath towel to keep from falling. The jets in our jacuzzi room tub did not work, the drain plug was left in a dirty plastic cup, noticeable facial hair was left in the bathroom sink and there is no privacy for the guest when using the bathroom. There is a large purposely designed opening in the wall (approximately 36" x 36") from the bathroom to the couch area / sleeping area making this a disturbing place to use the toilet or take a shower. A moldy shower curtain is all that separates you from the rest of the room. We are happy to provide photos of this. The pictures on the website are old, outdated and deceiving as they do not reflect the actual room layout. We never would have booked a room with this hotel if these features had been disclosed on the website. Both owners were on-site behind the desk while this was going on. The wife crossed her arms and said she would talk to housekeeping. She responded so quickly and with a canned reply like she has this rehearsed and has said this many, many times and was in no way surprised to hear or comments. Instead of waiting to talk to housekeeping why wasn't she volunteering to see the room or work to fix this on the spot like we have encountered with other Choice hotels. The husband seemed completely disinterested in hearing about our complaints and continued to assemble a TV at the front desk like that was the most important issue he cared to deal with. They showed zero interest in proactively solving these issues that are glaring around the hotel. We sincerely hope that Choice would consider removing them from their roster of hotels. As a longtime Choice member we have expectations that we will have a clean and safe stay and neither of these standards were kept.

We were not happy at check-in when there was a hundred dollar deposit required that we were NOT aware of when we booked on the website. It only said a valid credit card was required at check-in! We are Choice Privileges Diamond members and this was a points night on the last night of our 6 week vacation. We had used almost all of our U.S. cash and did not want the deposit on our Canadian credit card because of the loss in the exchange rate putting deposit on and then crediting it back. Tasha was great and called the owner to see if it was a "hold" or was a charge. We were assured it was only a hold and if the room had no damages it would be removed at check-out. Because we made such a fuss, Tasha told us that she removed it 2 hours later.

After getting back to Canada I checked our credit card statement a couple of days later, and there were 2 charges totalling a hundred dollars but NO credit! I contacted the hotel, and NEVER received a response. I also contacted Choice Hotels, and no response at all! I called our credit card company and disputed the charge. I asked her if she saw a reversal of the charge anywhere and she did not. An investigation was opened, and long story short a reversal showed up about a week later, but the date of it was the SAME day we checked in!! And we did take a loss on the transaction! The worst thing is our room was never inspected for damage, and since we were told it was reversed we didn't take any pictures to have proof the room was in the same condition that we found it. Totally unacceptable, with no accountability!

Tasha was amazing, but we will NEVER be back to this hotel. Which is a shame since the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and breakfast was pretty good.

We went to this hotel because our home was left without electricity due to a severe storm. The room was dirty and the toilet did not work. We just wanted to sleep so we waited till the morning to let the front desk know about the toilet. To our surprise the manager was rude and BLAMED us for not switching rooms the night before. Do I have to explain the trauma my family went through with a tree falling on our house to make this person understand why we just wanted to sleep?
We were kicked off the property.
DON'T STAY HERE.

I stayed here for one night in early October. WARNING: STAY AWAY!! It was an unusually warm spell and perhaps I should have known things were wrong when the lobby was so hot it was almost unbearable. The desk clerk was disinterested, brusque and rude. But, I was tired from driving since 5:30am so I stayed. A huge mistake! The room was hot and the A.C. made a lot of noise, but little cooling. The room itself was dark, dirty and the bed was hard as a rock. There was also a “funky” smell that was either the remains of something that had died in the walls (think rat or mice) or perhaps the left over from days without real cleaning. Around 9:30 p.m. the noise started and never really stopped. I tried sleeping, but between the loud air conditioning, the heat, the noise and the extremely uncomfortable bed it was next to impossible. Finally, around 3:30 am I gave up and decided to leave and get back on the road. When I arrived at the front desk I learned where all the noise was coming from. The desk clerk who appeared to be about 17, had all his friends in the lobby partying! There were beer cans on the floor and on the counter. The lobby was full of Cigarette smoke (and the fairly distinctive smell of something other than tobacco). I had to practically scream to get the attention of the partying clerk, who finally figured out that he needed to give me a receipt. In his semi-drunken state it took him several tries to get the receipt to print out, but finally he managed and I escaped. What a horrible dump! STAY AWAY! Even if you, like me, are feeling road weary, you will be happier either staying on the road or finding any other place to stop.

The worst points about our stay at Comfort Inn in Monroe.
1) The day manager lied and said all the damage to our room was done the night prior when it was old DAMAGE!
2) The managers from DAY AND NIGHT shift had a huge hotel party and was worse than 50 teenagers.(although some were teens themselves)
3) There were guests running through the halls at all hours!
4) There were guests drinking beer IN BOTTLES in the indoor pool room. OH did I mention while enjoying a cigarette??
5) They were understaffed!!!
Will not stay here again unless I see DRAMATIC improvements!
