Room are ok, but the rates are very expensive. Also it makes not sense to pay per person and not for the room. Staff average, service could improve. Campsite is good, with really good shower and facilities. Pool and restaurant are nice as well.

Thrilled with the family chalet, the air-con was great in the bedrooms, but not the lounge. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the outside furniture was extremely uncomfortable and could be replaced. For those wanting to braai, the shop was lacking in variety and no fresh produce available. The public areas were well maintained, the swimming pool clean and...

Online reservation on the NWR website for camping was easy. Campsite was okay, but the sites are close together and the facilities are aging. The reason for staying here is the waterhole where we spent the whole evening so really didn't matter too much about the campsite. Lots of people at the waterhole but it quietens off later on and...

My friend and I really enjoyed our few days in Etosha National Park. If you are going there, you don't have much of a choice, but to stay at this lodge. There is a wide variety of rooms. Ours was basic, but clean. The watering hole was a big hit for us. It provided our only opportunity to see black...

Used the campsite so cannot comment on cleanliness of rooms. The campsite was nice and within walking distance of the watering hole, the restaurant and pool. No big issues. The facilities here are much more developed than at Namutoni. The pool was nice and the restaurant was also good. Again would recommend the game drives. We did a PM game...

We spent one night in Okaukuejo rest camp when travelling Etosha east to west. Key problem of the resort is the lack of proper service and maintenance. The camp is clearly living of the substance and rooms are getting worse over time. At least the restaurant is under renovation now. Dinner is buffet style and food is solid but not...

I'd been persuaded to try this venue and the waterhole. May be I had been spoiled by my previous lodge/camps in Namibia but this was way behind, Convenient yes and 24hr access to the waterhole yes. Service is a concept unknown to the whole place. Communal pool free but everything else at a cost. Maintenance neglected: door handle required continual...

I have been going to Okaukuejo for over 20 years, so sad to see on my most recent visit that it has now become so neglected! No maintenance is done! There was no water and electricity for 2 days whilst we were there. Once it came back on, only 1 light was working at the waterhole - you could see...

The camping site is rocky and sandy. It was very busy in November. We lost power so I had to shower in the dark. However the waterhole was an easy walk and lots of area for everybody to sit and watch. I was alone and had 2 rhino's come and drink and sleep in front of me.

Our arrival at Etosha started at te Okaukuejo Rest Camp. The room was nicely decorated but rather small and the shower did not really drain. So we spent most of our time either in the spacious pool or at the waterhole. The waterhole is the real highlight of this camp as you are very close to the animals and especially...
