We camped here: it's a great campsite with a little shadow and clean showers. The bar is ok. Best thing here is the waterhole. There are signs starting at the campsite and it's a little walk to get there. First we went there at lunchtime, but nothing to see there then. We came back in the evening when we saw...

We booked SEKELBOS which was a 2 bedroom 4-sleeper self catering chalet and have no complaints. we could braai for the first time since we entered Etosha as the other resort that we stayed in thus far (Namutoni) only allow braai (bar-b-que) at camping sites. The waterhole at Halali had little if any sightings. The roads at the back of...

we spent 2 nights at Halali, 1 in a bush chalet and another in a double room. bush chalet is more expensive, but we failed to see why. The double room is just as good! Those who prefer WC with a door would even prefer the double room. Bed, little patio, hot shower, fridge, space, etc. all the exact same....

Halali rest camp is one of the three main restcamps in Etosha and in my opinion the most pleasant one. It is not is large as Okuakuejo and not as remote as Namutoni. We had a double room, nr 13, which is semi-detached and not very far from the main area. The room is small but adequate, has airco, a...

What a pleasure to stay at such a well-managed camp. Chalet 45 was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff allocated to chalet 45 pulled out all the stops to welcome us to the chalet after our morning drive by folding the towel depicting various animals such as a swan or rabbit. The waterhole within walking distance from camp is...

Halali is an NWR camp (Namibia Wildlife Resorts -- govt. run). If you expect a pampered "safari lodge" you will be disappointed. But we found it perfectly acceptable lodging in a wildlife reserve. The room and bathroom were clean and neat. We stayed in one of the detached huts. Air conditioning worked fine. The dining was buffet and wholesome. The...

We did not stay at Halali but stopped for toilets, coffee & something to eat. Everything we saw needed repairs. The coffee was make your own, put your money on the bar & we will bring your change -- it never happened. We decided not to eat there. Our Namibian guide said it was once a special place but the...

We were at the camping side. It's a mandatory stop if you are driving through Etosha. So the location is prefect. There is plenty of campsites with a minimum of place between them. The waterhole was empty of animals but this was normal in the wet season. Nice place to look at the sundown anyway. All camp needs maintenance in...

I consider Halali to be the least interesting place we stayed during our visit in Namibia in terms of aesthetics. We stayed at the campsite, where tents/car spots are one right next to the other. Infrastructure, such as barbecue fireplaces and restrooms are rather run down. During the rainy season the water hole is of no interest - we saw...

We stayed at the Halali campsite for 2 nights (plus 1 night at Okaukeujo campsite). I would strongly suggest one to stay at Okaukuejo instead of Halali. It feels that each site is under different management, and Halali was significantly worse. 1. Very poor customer service at Halali. The lady in charge at the desk was very rude and unprofessional....
