My mum and I had a great stay at this guest house , the super kind and helpful owner and family makes our introduction in the sacred place such a beautiful and memorable journey ! Rooms are basic but clean and the sleep is peaceful , location is perfect. Thankfully . Marina .

Went here due to Lonely Planet recommendation and was surprised by the rooms being a lot more expensive than mentioned in the book. First room shown, the toilet didn't work and ended up taking second (and last possible) room. The toilet was absolutely disgusting with stains in toilet and mouldy window frame. So many cobwebs in room and insects smashed...

"Jupiter" who runs the lodge also runs Pilgrim holidays next door. They arranged for me a car to Gorakhpur in India via Kushinagar (where Buddha passed into Nirvana) for about 75USD which saved me a lot of worry and hassle with changing buses. They also run a village tour on bike 1500NPR (regardless of number of people,so the more participants,...

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. First of all, they hiked up their prices so the Lonely Planet guidebook is not correct anymore. The front lady kept saying that me and my friend traveling together had just met (I corrected her, but she insisted I was lying). The room had cobwebs and was not very...

Room on the first floor had one open window next to the stairs, try to get an other one. The bathroom wasn't cleaned in my case. Prepare for the power cuts & no working ventilator. Or just go out. Staff is very helpful, just as everywhere in Nepal.

Lumbini being the birthplace of Buddha is a must see and a relaxing paradise. Great town with good atmosphere! Stayed here for 1 night and was amazed by people from The Village Lodge. They really helped us out with everything (info, tickets,...). Rooms are basic but clean and have a good price quality value. Recommended by Belgium!

Extremely disappointing. I had money and passport stolen here. The useless lady who runs the front desk is jaded and two faced. She only cares about getting your money and then her customer service facade disappears. The place is a sham. Power outages and no back up gens running cos they are so tight. When I called in the police who...

The guest house in itself is cute with a tree in the middle of the courtyard, lot of humidity though... lot of mosquito but this is in all lumbini, not their fault. They on the generator only few hours per night, which means the rest of the time you sleep with no fan, super hot, and 20mosquitos around: not the...

I stayed there for a few nights on either side of a meditation retreat. I enjoyed my stay and had no problems, but it was the owner's (Jupiter's) helpfulness that really left an impression. While I was on retreat, I needed help communicating with a hospital where I had received rabies shots. Even though I wasn't staying at Lumbini Village...
