My wife and I stayed at the Jomsom Mountain Retreat in April 2012. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our life. The area is filled with stunning beauty, and the Retreat captures this regional beauty to perfection, allowing a peek into local culture amd mores even as it provides spectacular views of the mountains and valley. When...

Stayed at Jomsom Mountain Retreat for one night and was very surprised with the cleanliness of the whole hotel and rooms. All the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean and fresh. Have nothing negative to say about our stay at the Jomsom Mountain Retreat.

The greatest views, from our room. Rooms have a bit "shabby chique" feeling. Rooma have exposed brickwalls, and the same in the bathroom. And a much need heater, since it is so cold everywhere in the hotel. The bar area is quite nice, but the resturant is ok, but nothing to get overexcited about. Service is great, even the tractor...

I have stopped off in Jomson on many occasions. Generally this would be at both the start and finish of a trek in the Annapurna region. On my last trek, I noticed a sign indicating the rough path to the Jomson Mountain Retreat. With a friend we decided to take a look. The path up is not too bad and...

We had booked (and paid)at Jomsom Moutain Resort in mid Sept. unfortunately planes were not flying to Jomsom from pokhara due to bad weather. We had to cancel out booking and JMR management (Arvind in Kathmandu) went out of his way to meet me and refund in full without fuss or bother. No doubt iwhen we return we will book...

For a five star, which it pretends to be (at least the prices are 5 stars hotel's prices), it is unconceivebable to have to come from the airport and go to the airport with a cattle truck ! this is the only vehicle the hotel is proposing to his guests, even if you want to have VIP treatment... The room...

I don't know how come they claim it to be a 5 star property. If you check the photographs (attached) it looks like a 18th century ghost-house! Although rooms are properly maintained. Cleaniness is okay. The complete hotel is built out of stone , so if you are comparing it with any of the five star property in any standard city,...

We booked for 3 nights, but left after 2. We were the only guests other than a young family staying at this huge empty and neglected prison like fortress, making it very uncomfortable. Though the staff was accomodating, we couldn't get out of Jomson fast enough. The area is barren, with high winds and sand storms each afternoon. Much of...
