As I am doing this trip without AGENCY I can choose type of hotel and type of room I want. I just hired porter(Karma) directly (by texting and phone call) with reference from my friend who went with him in 2015. He asked me initially that what kind of room I want to stay during EBC trekking and now he...

We were wet went we arrived at this quaint guesthouse. The matriarch proprietor was quick to offer us warmth. The best place to stay and rest on our EBC/Gokyo, Cho-la Pass Trek. We had a clean room with a great view of the landscape around. The best view is from the window of the dining room upstairs. One can enjoy...

Very friendly owner and staff, nice food and room. One of the best places to stay on the trek to Everest Base Camp - or on the way down. We were tired and it was a very pleasant stay - we were very pleased to stop here. Very close to Tengboche and much better place to spend a night there..

This is one of the best Guesthouse on the trek to EBC. All managed by a lady and her kids, but they are absolutely professional, organised and quick in service. The trek from Namche bazar to this place is tiring, but the facilities this guesthouse provide are simply awesome. We took a special room, which had an attached toilet with...

This was the best guesthouse we stayed in on our Gokyo/EBC trek. Good bedroom, really hot shower (added cost but well worth it) and lovely dining room with good food. The place is 10 minutes below Tengboche monastery and the woman running it was very friendly.

We stayed here twice, including a peaceful rest day during our trek. We had a clean room with ensuite bathroom and a comfortable bed. All the food was of good quality and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Morning views of Chomolungma/Everest were outstanding!

Electric blankets, attached bathrooms with hot showers, a cheerful cozy main dining hall with good food, and wonderful hospitality! My group and I stayed at Rivendell Lodge for a week, and we were all very satisfied customers. The owners are very nice, and very professional. I highly recommend this place, and will stay there again next time I am in...

we stayed here on way to EBC and back. The place is beautiful both the property and the surroundings. The rooms are done well and attached toilets with working flush are a true luxury on this trail. It's just 15 min from Tengboche monastery. The rooms with attached toilets are expensive but worth it. They also have common rooms that...

We were surprised that there were only 2 lodges at Tenboche and as neither had ensuite bathrooms, which my wife really wanted, we proceeded the short distance to Deboche where there are more lodges. We were very pleased to find Rivendell Lodge that have rooms with ensuite bathrooms for NPR 2,000 and that includes the cost of hot showers. We...

Ang Jangmu Sherpa and husband have made a great lodge here, a fusion of traditional Sherpa lodge style and European Mountain Hut. Ang Jangmu Sherpa worked for 5 summers in a hut in Austria, and it shows. It's a great alternative to staying at Tenboche, just 15 minutes down the hill among the rhododendron forest that is said to have...
