It is a s-it hole. Don’t stay here.. wifi sucks. No TV. Bed bugs.. dirty. Waste of money. No need to say more. $ 35.00 a night should have looked for a better place.. I fully regret staying here. Don’t book this hotel. Should have check trip adviser.

Quel triste personnage, se faire insulter ainsi mais pour quelles raisons? Les gens aigris nous fatiguent....la meilleure réponse se trouve dans les autres commentaires.

Great hostel with loads of space. Staff is super helpful and the pool just makes this 100% awesome!! For sure check out the private rooms but if you are on a budget the dorm rooms are more than a good option.

Our private room was strategically placed to maximise every noise in the hostel - it was sandwiched between a stairwell, games room and common area (with quiet times not enforced). I suspect the room was a pool pump room in its previous life as it was an airless concrete bunker through which all sound reverberated. DO NOT stay in room 16! The rest of the property was incredibly clean and staff were lovely. It is in an excellent location. Unfortunately I can’t give it a good score because of our uncomfortable experience.

The hostel itself is fine, if not a bit dirty in places (would have been nice 10 years ago...). However the owner is one of the rudest and most condescending men I’ve ever met and I implore anyone not to go to his hostel as to not fill his pockets. Go to Mango’s instead who have equally good facilities and a lovely staff

Response from lazyboneshostal, Propietario at Lazybones Hostal
Responded 19 Apr 2018

This hostel is really good - free tea and coffee in the morning, good pool, a pool table lots of hammocks and these real cool rocking chairs to chill in. Not free, but very reasonably priced breakfasts. The staff are really nice. Also, they offer a volcano boarding tour that is the cheapest I saw in Leon. BUT, the dorm room I stayed in was simply to hot. The fan there did literally nothing. As a result every night I would have a terrible, terrible sleep. The place is pretty cheap, but in my opinion not cheap enough to justify sweltering dorm rooms. If you can sleep through the heat and want a pool, then I’d recommend this place, but if not don’t book it! You won’t get a good sleep.

Had a great stay at Lazybones hostal. It was cheap, the staff are friendly and the pool much needed! There are a few small negatives (walk downstairs for toilet, sound travels), but the relaxed atmosphere and pool make up for it!

I slept in the dorm which was nice and spacious but the lack of fans is ridiculous. You would think that in the hottest city that dorms would have fans but they had maybe 2 ceiling ones and the ceiling is pretty high. I would wake up in the middle of night in a puddle of sweat. It gets really noisy at 6 am on the street so you won’t get a good rest here. Their fridge wasn’t working so no cold water or beer. The ambiance is non-existant but they do have hammocks and chairs if you want to hang-out. There are a few bathrooms and showers which is nice and a pool to cool off but definitely not worth staying here. My friends were staying at Poco a Poco and it’s too bad they were booked because that was such a nicer hostel. The staff was nice but the place could be much better.

I stayed 3 nights in total, mostly for convenience - it’s next to the Quetzaltrekkers office and a great location in the city. A solid 4/5 because a few things were lacking: consistently good showers, good WiFi, and protection from the mosquitoes of which there are many. The vibe was interesting, the breakfast was alright (get the pancakes, not the yogurt and granola), free coffee and tea, and the staff really helped me sort out my stuff. If you take a late night shuttle (2am) to Antigua you need to book a room here, you can’t just hang out. But it was worth it for me because I got out of a hike and could use their showers, keep my stuff safe, and sleep for a couple hours before I had to leave. I wouldn’t go to Nicaraguita restaurant, I had a bad experience there, but there are other good comedors around, and I recommend the street food at the Central Park!

In the very warm city of Leon, this is like a nice and comfortable place to stay. With a small swimming pool. Coffee is ready in the morning. Possible to buy breakfast, but would recommend to buy it somewhere outside.

Loved staying at this hostel, great location, the best breakfasts, very clean, great pool and court yard! The neighbourhood is close to everything including a few excellent restaurants. The only thing I would say is that the banos can be a bit far from your room depending on which room you have. Overall, a great place with super helpful staff.
