We arrived at the hostel quite late in the afternoon. We went for a quick bite and after we had the rumtasting provided by ViaVia. It was a fun experience and we all did the 12 shots! Furthermore the rooms and bathrooms were clean and the people nice. I would absolutely recommend this hostel!

Kind people who will help you with everything, a lot of fun activities and definitely try the rum tasting!! Rooms are clean and big! The salsa lessons are also very nice! Bathrooms are nice and clean!

I was worried this would be a party hostel but it's not. A vibrant atmosphere, with locals hanging out as much as tourists. Great live music a couple of nights a week, The most friendly owner you could imagine who went out of his way to help us. Volcano Day tours in the same building. Delicious breakfast included. Great sized room (only improvement would be to have some storage shelves). Good shower. Lovely chill out area and hammocks. Superb location. Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed staying here for a few nights while we were in Leon! The hostel is in the back of a bar/restaurant, which was fun. You check in at the bar and if you need anything, you ask at the bar. The rooms were nice and pretty standard. There’s no AC and there’s not a lot of fans. There’s a little garden in the center with one hammock and chairs to sit at. The location is super good and really close to the city center and lots of good restaurants. The volcano boarding company is located right there in the restaurant and we scheduled a walking tour with the employees that worked there. We would recommend!

My friend and I stayed at this hostel for 6 nights in Leon! We absolutely loved it! Leiven, the hostel owner, is incredible and helped us out with booking a shuttle to El Salvador. He was always so kind and helpful with anything we needed. The hostel has a great vibe and a really fun bar in the front. The restaurant is also amazing and the included breakfast was delicious every morning. The Volcano Day company is based here and is awesome for booking tours to volcano board or check out any of the surrounding volcanoes. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Leon. I’ll definitely stay there again when I go back!

We were really pleasantly surprised when entering this hostel. On the street side you have a cool colonial bar where many locals and backpackers gather for a drink. The place offers great food and a good vibe.

Nice hostel. Arrived here very late after catching the shuttle from El Tunco. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our private room. The room was spacious and clean. The bed had a mosquito net over it but unfortunately had a few holes in it as we still got bitten. Breakfast is included in the room, we had some very nice pancakes with banana. The staff are friendly and you can pay with credit card for your room.

We have booked the lake excursion and went on a private trip with Noel! We have had a great time and the hostel is very clean, big and helpful staff! You are in the middle of the Centre and even though it is more of a party street the hostel is in, you don’t have any noise in the dorm!

Recommended by our host in Las Penitas, the ViaVia was a great place, lots of ambiance and great patrons in the bar and restaurant, killer margaritas and decent food. The room was small but well appointed, definitely a good choice. The bar man was up at 5:30 to give us coffee and fruit for our journey to San Jose,

We came to Via Via for lunch and some drinks, so it was not terribly busy, the waitress came over and she took our drink order after about 5 min she came back with the beer we then gave her our food order, a simple plate of Belgian fries with mayo and a simple donair after 90min we still didn’t get our food, we just put the money we owed on the table and left. The only good think it has going for itself is the nice bar/ courtyard setting and that is it.
