My husband & I stayed at the Moulin for 11 nights in August. Although we dined almost every night at the Raphaël restaurant of the hotel, and we could have expected a little boredom to settle in, nothing of the sort happened. On the contrary, it was like going to a "rendez-vous" every single time ! With the carateristic tickling...

We had a superb visit to Les Moulins du Duc, the staff were all so helpful, making wonderful suggestions for our trips, whether to isolated beaches, long walks, monastries, markets, etc. returning in the evening to the lovely warm indoor swimming pool, hidden away in the extremely large park like gardens, enjoying pre-dinner drinks in the beautifully decorated & light filled lounge, then eating the most imaginative & enjoyable...

We stayed here in the autumn for the first time. We were immediately struck by the beauty and seclusion of the place. The room that we were given was very comfortable and quite spacious. We were slightly puzzled to discover that there was a machine to make coffee and tea, but had we wanted tea, there only one teabag and...

This is our second visit to Les Moulins du Duc, in Moelan-sur-Mer. The reason for the second visit was the first visit. We've always thought of this place as special but this second stay proved it. Starting from the reservation process to the final farewell, things are always handled with a degree of professionalism and class that is hard to...

Our stay at this beautiful and peaceful hotel was excellent. Our room was well appointed and very stylish. The hotel is rather isolated so eating in the hotel Resturant is necessary if you don't want to drive out to other locations. However there are a good choice of restaurants in Quimperlé, which is close by. The hotel restaurant itself is...

We arrived at the moulins at the end of August 2014, after a busy 2 weeks family holiday on our way back to the ferry the next day. We just stayed one night, the weather was perfect and we sat out by the lake sipping our cocktails before dinner. The setting is magical and we found the rooms comfortable and...

A couple of years ago we wanted to make a reservation for their restaurant, as we live in the area. It was made quite plain to us that they did not welcome young children, we therefore booked elsewhere. A few months ago we were with a group (7 people) mixture of French/English adults, no children with us. We were going...

Booked through Brittany Ferries whose reponse to a subsequent complaint was dismissive; typical of Brittany ferries. Rooms can be a long way from hotel. Only provided one lot of towels and did not bring another set when asked until the following day. Room was large (too large with unnecessary single bed that was not requested), dark and somewhat austere. No...

We reserved 60 days in advance for two nights, and the hotel confirmed in writing. We called around 5 pm to say we would be late arriving due to traffic and were told not to worry, our room was ready and waiting for us. A hotel rep met us in the parking lot when we arrived, saying we could not...

What a strange mix this hotel is. We arrived after a long journey on a very hot day to find reception closed. When it reopened we were checked in. Our room was clean, and smelled fresh thanks to a scent over a candle (which was sadly never used again). The room also remained cool through the heat wave, which was...
