So well placed for a stop over and run/owned by a very personable couple, this could be a great little place to break a journey. Unfortunately the room we had was in a shocking state of disrepair and decorated in a truly revolting wallpaper. The bathroom was also very out of date. There were cots and a surplus TV in... More

Like many of our recent stays at hotels I left feeling a little puzzled. Why pay that money for what is effectively a bed for the night? How often do we get to spend relaxing and quality time where we stay? Very rarely. In which case why don't we just stay in a really cheap hotel? The answer is, I... More

We stayed here 1 night during out trip to the Luberon. We loved it ! The interior of the lobby is a bit of a timewarp to the sixtees of James Bond. the rooms are large, a bit outdated, but very comfortable. Diner is served in a real nice room, nothing changed for many year and I hope they keep... More

We visited with our thirteen year old son, and the suite of rooms we were given were simply enormous, somewhat typical of properties of this sort of age. The rooms were of course old, but probably could use a little thought in terms of updating the HVAC and plumbing. We ate in one night, the food was of a really... More

Owned by the same family for 50 years, and such very nice / polite / friendly people. The "big surprise", Francoise is not just a good cook, she is fantastic! She could run a Michelin Star kitchen her cooking / presentation was that good. Menu was limited but we were "off" season. Dining room unusual but comfortable, large open fire,... More

We were treated very well indeed at La Huchette. The rooms are comfortable (especially our bed), the hotel's location is pretty, breakfast is traditional french with high-quality pastries,... More

The hotel is tucked away off the main road and five minutes from Macon. The exterior is charming , well kept grounds and large pool. The owner Francoise and her husband are absolutely lovely. The interior unfortunately does not do the exterior any justice. The four course meal however was loved by our whole group and the wine choices from... More

The hotel is in a nice and quiet park with a nice swimming pool. The owners are running it and are very friendly.the hotel would be well served with a major overhaul . The lighting in the stair case are fixed on the floor and our little boy got a 2nd degree burn on his leg. The Rooms are clean... More

A perfect stopover, 1 minute from the main road and the most enchanting interior which is full of character and 70's colourful decor - completely original and very relaxing place to stay. Very welcoming & polite owners, the most amazing & delicious meal - 5 courses for 39 euros, and they cooked whatever our children (aged 8 & 12) requested.... More

On our way from Geneva to the Beaujolais region we needed a place to stay overnight and recoup from our transatlantic travel the previous night. La Huchette fits the bill just fine....if you don't mind the dated look of the place. The service is friendly and hospitable. The beds were great (hard), so were the pillows (old fashioned - hard...
