An adorable, nicely remodeled, historic mill-turned-B&B. Owners M/M Heurtebise are delightful, conscientious, and Florence is an exceptional cook. Her advice on what to visit was perfect for the short time we had in the Loire valley.

On September 15th and 16th. 2014 we (two couples) stayed at this lovely inn. Our rooms were very clean, the sleep quality was superb and our hostess was wonderful. Ms. Heurtebiste provided an exceptional and genuine French dinner where we enjoyed conversing with her and getting acquainted with the other guests. This was first served outside by the lovely pond...

My fiance and I spent three nights in July at this wonderful B&B. The owner was helpful by recommending restaurants (our two best meals during our 10-day stay in northern France were within a 10-minute drive of the B&B) and chateaus. As stated in many reviews, the house is actually an old mill that even has a waterfall in the...

I chose this B&B when planning for our trip because it sounded so unique - an old mill. It was indeed! The dining room incorporated the mill in a way that provided a view of the waterfall during meals. The mill pond provided a restful spot for relaxing after our drive from Normandy the first afternoon and from sightseeing the...

We stayed at this charming B&B three nights. The hostess Florence was quite welcoming and helpful as we explored the nearby castles. Breakfast was typical French and good quality. We had the pleasure of joining Florence and other guests for a home cooked dinner our first night. We appreciated that she sent an email just before our arrival to let...

We booked this B&B on the recommendation of some friends and were pleased with our experience. The integration of the historic mill into the facility is remarkable. Our room was large and comfortable, breakfast typically "French", and Florence works hard at making you feel at home. As mentioned Blere is a perfect central location for exploring the Loire Valley Chateaux...

We spent a night at this bed and breakfast. Overall, it is a very nice spot. The room was OK, clean and calm, even though the bed was not firm enough in my opinion. The place itself is charming and well-located. The owners are friendly. Breakfast was also good.

The tourist office found this one for us. She called about six places and they were all booked so when she said this one was available, we jumped on it since my husband had been driving all day and he was exhausted. The last thing he wanted to do was to go B&B hopping. The room was large no complaints...

Thank you for taking time to write a review about your stay at the Mill. I am happy that you appreciated the location. Our house is a 16th century old mill. For the guest rooms, we have preferred to keep the flavor of a building with a history going back many hundred of years, and have decided to have raw...

I have stayed at the Moulin twice now, in 4 years, with friends. After hectic days of driving and touring, this hotel is a respite, due to the beautiful natural setting of the old mill, and a pleasure, thanks to its friendly hosts, M and Mme Heurtebise. It's a perfect "central location" to visit many chateaux in all directions. Both...

While planning our trip to France, we struggled with where to stay in the Loire Valley. We finally decided on Moulin du Fief Gentil, and we could not have been happier with our choice! Mmw. Heurtebise was an incredibly gracious host; she spoke very good english and made sure that we felt comfortable and welcomed. The dinner we had in...
