Stepane has done the restoration without concession to modern amenities. This is a wonderful look at a 13th century piece of history. It was a ruin when his family bought it and he has spent 32 years bringing it back to life. Don't expect Holiday Inn luxuries, or even Best Western. Do expect the sense of space and the feeling...

The rooms was very dirty. The key for the room was placed in a drawer which was available for all. Bad beds. Wi-Fi was not working. Cell phone coverage was not working. Pool was placed close to farm animals. Only one common table for all guest in the breakfast room.

I am afraid it was rather unpleasant. We stayed in 3 Chateau during our holiday and the other 2 were very very good in every way. The building is remote, no sign of staff during the evening and all night, it felt like we were alone in the run down creepy building. If I had been a woman alone, I...

Everything about this place is old and in need of repair and cleanliness was mediocre at best. There is no dinner so the place is boring in the evening; therefore you have to travel into town for lunch, dinner and/or entertainment, which is risky if you want to enjoy wine with your meal. The staff was essentially non-existent. Great place...

From the Chateau & hotels Collection guide the hotel looked promising and the manageress who we saw twice in two days, was very pleasant but the facilities were very poor. It is a chateau which has been renovated but very poorly.

Madame, Monsieur, I'm so surprised by your message on Tripadvisor. I'm the owner of the Château since 1984. My wife and our 4 children are living on the place and are restauring this historic Monument for 31 years ago. Every day, we spend time, energy, love passion and money. We are a Bed and Breakast for 25 years and have...

We booked at the very last minute and felt so lucky - great property, fantastic location, warm welcome, and superb experience. The location was perfect for our first foray into the region, and we hope to return again soon.

Lovely historic chateau with period rooms. Feels cosy and we received a warm welcome from Helen. No on-site dining but nice restaurants are easily reached in Vouvray. Delicious breakfast tray brought to our room to allow us to make an early departure. Easy access to AutoRoute so great spot to break a journey.

This place absolutely exceeded all our expectations! It was a splurge for us 230 Euros but we were splitting 3 ways & thought what better way to experience the chateaus of the Loire Valley than to stay in one. We booked on line & several just looked like large houses but this one looked like a castle/chateau. It's a bit...

It was not just a room, but a palatial suite with a separate living room and great views. The owner provided a great breakfast of freshly made croissants and homemade jams with fresh fruits and a variety of meats, cheeses, breads and drinks. We got a personal tour of the chateau and had a lovely quiet stay. This 13th Century...

We stayed here for three nights while exploring the Loire. The chateau is enchanting and has mostly been restored, you can see pictures of the process. We were in the Louis XIV room which has a cute little room in the interior with two single beds. My daughters slept in this room. The house and rooms are nicely decorated in...
