We enjoyed our stay here during our walk of the Chemin Stevenson- one of the better places in which we stayed in an area short of good quality accommodation. The house is really old and smells a bit damp when you enter but our room (the Chataignier) up in the eaves was spacious and comfortable and had a nice modern bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was very good and it was interesting talking to Roger who is a good host.

Roger welcomed us warmly to his charming 18th century townhouse. It appeared rather dilapidated from the outside but don't let that put you off, it is part of the character of the property. Once inside, it is tastefully furnished and styled in keeping with the nature of the property. We had booked the ground floor room with 2 beds and 2 double rooms. All rooms were spacious and individually decorated. Roger goes out of his way to be helpful and can provide useful tips about where to eat lunch, dinner, places to visit etc. The restaurant opposite his establishment served a good dinner and is recommended. Roger was also very obliging with allowing us to make use of his kitchen table for am impromptu lunch. He made sure we were comfortable, relaxed and wanted for nothing. His B&B is also well positioned in the centre of Florac and close to all the shops and restaurants. I would happily recommend his establishment to anyone walking the GR70 and looking for a good, reasonably priced B&B.

Great old and charming building. Very little renovated. Large and bright room with yellow curtains Uncomfortable bedding. Bathroom renovated but not finished. We don't know where to put our stuff. The property owner is charming and very accommodating. But there really is a need for a little more rigor in the renovation.

Near the centre of Florac, an 18th century large townhouse sensitively renovated to accommodate a handful of comfortable and tastefully decorated large bedrooms. Roger is a seasoned host with a knack of gauging how much advice one might need. Though he does require your help regarding choosing the croissant you might want in the morning.

We stayed at Chambres du Therond during a hiking trip on the Stevenson trail. The chambre d'hôte is very conveniently located close to Florac's city center and the owner/manager Roger is very friendly. The breakfast was good and he even asked which type of croissant we would like. Roger also organized accomodation for our donkey on the Val de Tarn camping ground. He came to pick us up there and brought us back with his car the next morning. Only downside: this campground is not good for donkey travellers because one donkey there (called the BOSS) is very aggressive and bites other donkeys (ours was wounded).
