Charming welcome, wonderful setting, impeccable service, refined and more than delicious dishes.
The downside comes from the bill when you are told that your wife who took 2 courses pays more than you who took an entire menu (same proportions). The boss' justifications remain irrational. So a Trip Tip: Even if you don’t want dessert, take an entire menu; dessert will stay on your plate but you’ll pay less! It’s completely ridiculous but so it is!
We’re used to restaurants (large and small) but this is the first time we’ve been hit!
Too bad, because everything else was so perfect...

We stayed here whilst walking the Chemin Stevenson. Lovely little hotel with great charm.
As a group had cancelled the day before we had the place to ourselves (it only has 5-6 rooms) .Our room was large and and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and we had an excellent meal in the restaurant - particularly as we were the only ones there so had what was fresh. There is a lovely garden you can eat and sit out in. The 'hotel' (as a reviewer commented more a B&B with rooms) was close to centre.
Minor problem was due to roadworks road past our hotel had become the main way out of town -otherwise the street was relatively quiet. Overall a lovley stop.

It's a very pretty restaurant with a most organized Denis presiding in the tiny kitchen. How he serves such wonderful dinners is a mystery, as he is a one (or 2) man show. His wife, the lovely Veronique, is the waitress you always want to have when you dine out, but rarely do. We ate outside in the inner courtyard, cobbled stone floor, flowers blooming, fountain tinkling the sound of water that slowly eases away the day's troubles. It is Veronique's fault that we always had dessert. You have to watch that woman; she's like a Siren!

The room we had for 4 nights was lovely, restored with an artist's eye, complete with a large bathroom with a terrific shower. Old, lovingly polished wooden floors, huge armoire that easily head all of our clothes, and a comfy bed. The result made it a very enjoyable stay.

The Dessaints, Denis and Veronique, obviously care very much about their establishment. We enjoyed our days with them, even when we returned from hiking, dusty and dirty. They were unfailingly helpful, always doing what they could to make our stay even more enjoyable. Of the places to stay in Florac, this has to be one of the very, very best and certainly, the prettiest. Florac is lucky!

We stayed in this charming corner of the Gorges du Tarn this summer and have wonderful memories of our overnight in Les Tables de la Fontaine. It's a big house with several guest rooms. Ours was very large, comfortable, and airy with all the necessary mod cons. Our hosts were professional, friendly, and accommodating. Possibly the most memorable aspect of our stay there was the phenomenal cuisine of the husband/chef which we ate in their highly regarded restaurant. Absolutely haute cuisine which takes best advantage of the area's fresh produce and fresh-water fish, with super wines to match. We'd love to return to Florac and the Gorges; an area that is unspoilt and authentic as well as beautiful.

We spent a couple of days last week at Les Tables de la Fontaine and had a very enjoyable stay. Although the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays we were fed that night. We found our bedroom and bathroom pleasant and spacious and our hosts very welcoming. They also did not mind our little dog. What more could we wish for?
We strongly recommend this b&b

We stayed two nights in this excellent facility. The hosts were very gracious and helpful and the food was excellent. We highly recommend it. The rooms were large and clean and the showers were very good. The location is right in the heart of Florac and close to sights, shops, etc.

This was such a wonderful place! The room I stayed in was absolutely superb. Decorated with character and thought, it had lovely antique furniture to match old neighborhood of the village where Les Table de la Fontaine is located. The owners where kind and welcoming, and I chose to have dinner in their lovely adjoining restaurant. The meal was delicious, and the presentation was also quite nice. Breakfast, also served in the restaurant, was also excellent; the bread was so good, I had to ask where I could buy some more!

Situated centrally in Florac, but on a quiet little street, this is such a charming hotel. I received nothing except kindness and good food from the family that runs it, and I will recommend it to anybody I know who will be traveling in the area.

Basically this is a restaurant and a b&b. This is a big old house very close to the shops, sights, and restaurants of Florac. The rooms are big, there was a kettle in the room, the bathrooms have either a shower or a bath. An ideal place for walkers and I think they offer picnic lunches, although I am not sure of that. WiFi was good. Bed linen was very good. The meals were delicious and the owner is a great cook. Florac is a gritty town which has seen better days but it is a perfect place to base yourself to see the beautiful countryside of the Cevennes. Although Les Tables de la Fontaine is primarily a restaurant the owners are happy to recommend other restaurants in the area. We stayed three nights and were sorry to leave.

Room Tip: The little fountain outside the window of the front room is quite noisy if you have a window open.

We arrived late afternoon after a long day of wonderful sightseeing and they greeted us at the door like old friends. We parked 10 meters from their front door (around the corner), got a very nice room, and then the special treat of sitting in their outside deck and nicely landscaped yard area with wonderful views of the rocks and a nice relaxing glass of wine! Although their restaurant is closed on Sunday nights, they do serve overnight guests their dinner...and what a nice dinner it is! A special treat. Every single thing was delicious! And then we walked around Florac at night, all lit up! In the morning, they serve breakfast in their dining room and then you leave for the day. All is included in the price for the night! We liked everything about staying here, but especially the very nice family who runs this B&B/restaurant.

Called in to the restaurant for dinner, given a table despite being busy. Friendly and helpful staff.
There was a varied good menu for 23euro. All our choices were well presented, prepared and delicious.
Great evening.
Worth visiting if in town.
