My wife and I decided to stay at the USCG Crews Quarters after reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not steered wrong, this was a great stay! We stayed in #3, the Assistant Chief's quarters. The room was small, but very clean as was the rest of the house. There is a common area where you can...

This was the absolute highlight of our ten day trip up North. We stayed in the crews quarters for 3 nights, longer than anyone else who came and went while we were there. The accommodations were quiet, clean and comfortable with a great breeze in the windows, the kitchen updated and well stocked for breakfast or a snack at any...

What a neat way to visit a lighthouse. I bicycled camped up to White Fish Point and treated myself to a luxurious stay to rest the legs. Cooking diner in the sand beside Superior while watching the sun set and the freighters pass by was a treat. My stay was very peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed roaming the grounds and...

The weather was misty, cool and drab. So we donned our jackets and walked around and walked to the lake. However we really enjoyed our visit. We had Room 5 which was on the main level. There weren't many folks there so we had the common area to ourselves. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast. The museum about ship...

This bed and breakfast is part of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and admission to the museum is included in the cost of a night's stay. The location is great for enjoying the Lake Superior beach and doing birdwatching.

We stayed on the property of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in the former US Coast Guard Crews Quarters! What a unique experience, to know what the building had formerly been. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We reserved the only room available, Room #4. It is also the only room that doesn't have a Queen bed, just a...

We read an article in our local paper in New York State about this museum back in December 2015 and it lead to our planning a whole trip to Northern Michigan. This place was definitely a highlight. We learned even more about the Edmund Fitzgerald, and were thrilled that when we were up in the lighthouse for a tour (additional...

Beautifully restored, the USCG Crews Quarters is a hidden gem in the Upper Peninsula!! It's on the property for the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and one of those unique places that charms you from the moment you arrive. Idyllic and peaceful, you'll be lulled to sleep by the waves lapping the shore of Lake Superior. Take a walk through the...

what a great place! The room was comfy and beds were great. Wifi and a little tv to catch up on the news and the most beautiful sunset from the beach. Where else can you wander the grounds of a lighthouse and sleep there too? The museum is wonderful and really does a nice job talking about the shipwrecks in...

Just a one of a kind experience. We had the engineers room for 2 nights. The house is there for all to share, so the kitchen, coffee, living room, library all allow room to spread out when you are not outside. There is no AC but the open windows and ceiling fans make up for that. There are some steps,...
