I was here for the 3rd time in as many years on a weekend trip with friends. The building we stayed in is up to date, offering air conditioning and has a full kitchen with bathrooms with shower stalls in every suite. We filled up the building with 22 people present. As always, when staying away from home I check for bed bugs, the place was clean. I alway bring Clorox wipes to wipe down my bathroom...I’m a bit of a germaphobe. The food provided is nothing fancy, but it is a hot meal and not heavily seasoned. My only complaint is that the whole house was heavily scented. I am very sensitive to perfumes, laundry soaps and Febreeze like products, so I kept visiting the deck outside despite the cooler weather and not having a proper jacket. I couldn’t get away from the smell indoors, when attempting to sleep I finally stripped off my shirt and covered my face as to not smell the perfumed sheets. It worked for a short while, but then my shirt soaked up the smell.😟 No one else was bothered by the smell, to me it was like continually smelling a person in cheap cologne before I could see them .... I’ll stay home next time.

Jan was very accommodating to us. We had 7 people from Wisconsin stay and the rooms were decorated beautifully. They stayed in the "Barn" and is was very tidy and clean. We held our meeting downstairs in the "crafting room" and the space was perfect. Tables, chairs and coffee was provided. Our out of town members absolutely loved the place. Jan made all of our meals and it was very cozy for all of us in the dining room. We will definitely be using the Hankerd Inn Resort for future meetings. Thank you, Jan!!

Our group has been staying at Hankerd twice a year for about 6 years. Janet and Joe have created a wonderful place for the 18 of us to be together. The barn is a perfect place for us to each have plenty of space for all of the supplies we can't be without, and to be able to leave it all spread out. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the meals are very good. We are treated like old friends, and even before the weekend is over we are planning our next stay and securing our reservations. Looking forward to our next visit this coming February!
