This hotel(quality inn) and comfort inn are both 'ran' by the same HORRRIBLE management. MOLD in rooms which I have videos of, hot tub didn't work for crap hairs all over the bed and I was charged TWICE running my credit card at 275$! Also they offer breakfast, pool, and arcade which NOTHING WAS AVAILABLE TO USE!!!Andrew the "manager" is a very nasty man who is extremely rude to his staff and customers and lives at the hotel, who instead of addressing the problem like telling me he would, he just makes a scene and calls the cops, and steals your money! (Gave him 4days to contact me but made excuse after excuse) will NEVER book a room with either of these hotels. I also had my 5 year old son with me who has asthma and epilepsy! smh. health department will be called! I will also sue if I don't get my money back!…
Horrible hotel and rude customer service. I had a paid reservation but checked in late at night when I really needed some resting sleep but the rude receptionist wouldn't check me in my room because I'm doing a late check-in;no manager available to talk to. Avoid it at all cost, trashy people.
They jacked their nightly rate up by over $30 because,as we were told by the front desk clerk on the phone, it's "Sweetest Day"?? So, for $98 we got a room that had an overpowering stench of cinnamon & wet dog, No microwave, No refrigerator, a sticky, dirty phone that didn't work and as a bonus...garbage in the drawers. Truck parking is available on street in front but, sleep in your truck at a Pilot and save your $$. We learned the hard way.
We stayed 3 nights, cost was expensive for an older place. It apparently just switched from a Comfort Inn to Quality Inn. The front desk staff were super friendly and assisted with any needs. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items. What i think is disgusting is that they jack their prices double for hockey tournament weekends... they know every year when the big international tournament takes place and they decide to gouge customers. The other minor issue is the wifi, it Doesn’t work!!! There was one spot by the lobby you could get a weak signal but thats it!! All this aside, if you need a clean place to stay for a night or two with good customer service, comfortable beds, and breakfast included then I would recommend this hotel.
Our hockey team booked this hotel for 1/16 through 1/19 as we were attending a tournament in nearby Sarnia. Our team was eliminated from the tournament early. Hotel management waived the contract 3 day minimum and allowed us to check out early on 1/18 without penalty. I learned shortly after checkout that the regional manager decided not to honor the hotel managers decision and charges would be reapplied to all guests. This is unacceptable to tell your customers one thing at checkout and then hours later reverse your decision. I’ll return to this in a moment. When we checked in my credit card had a pending charge of $467.20 for the three nights. What’s disappointing is this hotel goes for $66.00 per night. They charged us nearly 60% more than the normal rate and they did not even have full occupancy. That is price gouging. The hotel was old, the rooms smelled musty, there was mold all over the ceiling in our bathroom. After our first night I discovered my card was charged $467.20 twice. I spoke to the hotel manager and I was told they were having trouble with their terminal and that the error would be corrected that day. At checkout on 1/18, I paid $310.80 for the two nights as the manager waived the third night for the whole team. The next day, I noticed my card was charged $467.20, $467.20, $310.80. I waited until Monday 1/20 for charges to post. Everything was still pending. The next day 1/21 charges posted. My card had posted charges of $467.20, $310.80 and they added another $622.66. I immediately contacted my credit card company and advised them of this situation. It appears that the regional manager had added charges to my card without consent. This is unacceptable and borderline fraud. I am extremely disappointed in Choice Hotels for this situation. They took advantage of hockey families who were required to use their hotel due to tournament rules and the engaged in price gouging. They then reneged on the hotel managers decision to waive the third night when the team was eliminated early from the tournament. The hotel was below standard. To add insult to injury they applied $1,400 in charges to my card forcing me to resolve this situation using my credit card dispute/mediation process. I have notices several adjustments on my card now, but those are the result of my cards dispute process. I will never stay in a Choice Hotel brand hotel again. …
