We called at the last minute on a very busy weekend and were able to secure a lovely air-conditioned room with a harbor view. The stairs may be a little difficult for the elderly. Staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was just adequate, raisin and plain bagels, cream cheese, English muffins, butter and jelly, two kinds of cereal, several...

I booked a room here because it rated so well on TripAdvisor--after staying one night, I'm certain there's no need to stay elsewhere. This is a charming, comfortable, clean, and hospitable B&B that is right downtown St. Ignace and within walking distance to the ferry. Continental breakfast served until 9am. Built as a hotel in 1928, it has a long...

A friendly couple run this classic old hotel and they do a nice job. Folks rush right by nice old places like this in a race to the familiar with popcorn ceilings and plastic shower curtains. We didn't, and I'm glad we didn't. It's not luxury but it's a well run old hotel that reminds me of where we came...

Very clean and quaint hotel in the middle of town...I would have like to stay longer but we were on our way to visit relatives in southern Michigan...Professional and polite staff. Rooms are well done.

it is not fancy but is a very friendly place... the breakfast nook they have created makes it just like being at home with a big family... hard not to just say good morning to the other guests and see where everyone is from... :)

We stayed for one night on our tour of the Great Lakes. My husband and I had our two kids with us (4 and 7) and they loved the hotel too. It was perfect for a quick tour of St. Ignace as well as a day trip to Mackinac Island. Cons: A lot of stairs, which can be difficult with...

The Boardwalk Inn is like going back to a hotel in the 40's and 50's. The screen side door was how we entered. The Inn Keeper was friendly and helpful with directions to supper. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was adequate with the sink outside the bathroom door. Not recommended for those with trouble walking as...

Located right in downtown across the street from the Moran Bay waterfront boardwalk with Mackinac Island in the distance, this neat old hotel is convenient to restaurants as well as several of the Mackinac Island ferry terminals. Our air conditioned room had two double beds (seemed larger) that were very comfortable, TV, WiFi, and while there was no coffee maker...

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were very clean and neat. Everything was very simple, kind of gave you a glimpse of what rooms were like in the past. Our room must have been two rooms at one time. The breakfast was simple, but as we were getting ready to head out each day, it was perfect. The...

We were returning to a great place en route to our final outbound destination for this trip. Kayla and Jim offer a great place, in a great location and it has worked wonderfully well for us on two different occasions over the years! We know it is a lot of work but we have always enjoyed our stays at the...
