My parents stumbled in this lovely hotel many years ago and were very pleased with their stay. We have followed in their footsteps and always are very welcomed by lovely staff. 3 room choices; good, better, best. The middle choice seems to be the best choice for us. Rented a pontoon around 11am for nice cruise around Kalamazoo River and... More

We had wanted to stay at this hotel for years and finally booked it for two nights. Because I am unable to walk up the stairs and carry luggage up, our room was on the main floor (#105). The common areas are attractively decorated, our room was not. The carpet was old and dirty looking, the smaller chest had a... More

The staff at the hotel are all very friendly, personable, helpful and well informed about the area. They make good recommendations for points of interest and restaurants. Our room was very clean. The bathroom was also very clean though a little cramped if two people wanted to be in there at the same time. Breakfast is incuded. This day french... More

The location of the Maplewood is perfect--a quiet spot next to a small, well-tended park that's only a few blocks from the river and right on the edge of the area where all of the main shops and eateries are located. We were a short walk from everything we wanted to do and see but still felt a little secluded.... More

Location location. Easy walk to everything. Refined atmosphere. Owner obviously has good taste. We spent the weekend and plan to go back. Book ahead as this place is busy, especially in season. Breakfast is good and the common areas spacious

The Maplewood Hotel and staff are wonderful! The hotel itself is beautiful, decorated in very nice antique furnishings and spacious rooms. Very close to all the shops and restaurants in Saugatuk. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to the property. Perfect breakfast for the day, too!

Nice hotel convenient to downtown and the river. We had a suite with whirlpool tub in it. As this is a couple blocks off the river you don't have great views, however you are so close to the water it is only a short walk. I am an early riser and coffee is not served until 8:15 am, a little... More

The bed-and-breakfast had a perfect location being right in town with the shops and restaurants. The chain ferry was literally around the corner and only cost a dollar to ride! The woman who served breakfast was very friendly and personable. The room that we were in was kind of small but had a larger bathroom. Over all it was pretty... More

We stayed one night in Saugatuck before heading home from our Michigan trip, and were lucky to find a room available at the Maplewood. There are 4 parking spots available for patrons, so most likely you will have to park on the street. By check in time, spots were opening up, so we were able to park closeby. The staff... More
