Very convenient location to shopping in Traverse area. Rooms were very clean. There is even access to washer and dryer. It was nice to see it is also pet friendly. Breakfast is available but I had to leave earlier so can not comment on that.
Didn’t get first floor that I booked. No lamp beside bed, no clock, no plug ins and beds were horrible! Breakfast was pathetic. Checked out after one night. Price was $130. We got a very nice room for the rest of our stay at the Quality Inn for less than $80 total. I will never stay at Baymont again.
After we checked in, we went up to our room, first thing you see are the carpets in the hallways, they are disgustingly filthy & I have pictures. When we went in the room it was small so I called the desk requesting to upgrade & of course I would have paid the difference. They said that because I booked through a third party, that no, I couldn't upgrade. This place is not a clean place to stay, at all. Had I not made the error & booked a non-refundable stay, we would have been out of there, To be fair, the beds were okay, but the bathroom set up is so small, there is nowhere to put supplies that women need in the bathroom, not a shelf or anything. Then after taking a shower, I was standing in the hallway looking back in the tub & I saw that there was a permanent bathtub dirt ring, talk about gross!!! There was no bar soap, we had 2 of each, towels, & Hand towels, we had to go to the desk & get facecloths. Breakfast was not Continental, no hot eggs or meat of any kind. For the 3 days we were there, there were only 2 employees working the front desk, the young lady was nice, & apologetic that she couldn't help. The guy was tired and or bored & could care less what is going on.…
The lobby had an old cigarette stench, mold was growing on the windows, the hallway carpets were brown stained and sticky, toilet seat in the room wasn’t attached in any way, bannisters we’re separating from the wall by the stairs and held together with 2x4 scrap wood blocks, the exterior side doors didn’t latch allowing anyone to walk in without access, light bulbs missing from lamps, hair and candy wrappers were jammed under the bathroom vanity and behind the tv stand, the refrigerator was turned off when we arrived and when I opened the door about a half gallon of water poured out from defrosting, the pool liner was separating and pulling apart on the bottom and sides so walking in it felt like a trampoline underwater. The staff was nice though and I felt bad they had to work in that place. Looked like Baymont bought the place, then threw a couple hundred dollars into “repairs” and maybe new signage, then left the rest. 1/10 Never again.…
You walk into the room and are immediately standing in the bathroom! The toilet did not flush properly and the door handle was put on upside down!! The curtains were missing hooks and the blackout curtain did not even reach the window, letting light in. What is the point of a blackout curtain? The breakfast did not offer any fresh fruit or options for people who are dairy and gluten sensitive. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
Our room wreaked of cigarette smoke and pot was being smoked both evenings in a room somewhere on our floor. There were also some gross spots on the carpet in our room. We stayed there for a family wedding occurring in town, otherwise we would have left.
GROSS hotel! There was blood and hair all over the sheets. We ended up switching rooms and the second one was worse than the first. Had to leave the hotel and find a new one at 1:00am. Such a horrible experience!
Given a room people were already in. Gross dirty carpet in the hallways. Unfriendly staff. Spiders in the bathroom. One of my worst hotel experiences that I can remember. All for over $300 a night. Find somewhere else.
Very pleasant staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The breakfast biscuits and gravy were the best, but they could have used another waffle maker. The Inn is very close to town but still away from the busiest traffic. We would stay there again.
The location of this hotel is convenient but it is extremely unclean. Our bathroom had hair all over the floor and all of the surfaces were dirty upon our arrival. The lobby and hallways looked as if they had not been cleaned in a very long time. The carpets are in need of complete replacement. The walls are filthy. Thankfully it was a one night stay and we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. I would not stay at this hotel again.
