This was a stop along our way to Mackinaw Island. We only spent one night but it was just what we needed. A very charming north country decor. The hotel and restaurant are basically in a gift shop. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I...More
Rarely stay in Quality Inns but this one was a pleasant surprise. Large clean room, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff. No free breakfast but 25% off at adjoining Lumberjack Restaurant was a nice change from standard free food.

The "elevator" was my least favorite thing. Not a regular elevator. A heavy door that opens, then you have to slide open the cage, get in and close the door, then slide the cage shut before it will operate. When you get out, you MUST slide the cage shut before you close the door or the elevator won't respond to the next person who needs it. It feels very claustrophobic... but... it's an elevator. This trip I was with my disabled mother so we had to use it. If not for that I would have used the stairs.
