Arranged a corporate group of 10 to use accommodations M-W in mid May. Staff was exceptionally gracious and accommodating to all our needs (e.g. the facilities allowed us to split into two smaller working groups at times and later reassemble in one of the medium sized rooms). Rooms are quiet, well appointed, and very comfortable. Meals choices are hearty country...

These people are great. Have not been there in awhile but I am here to tell you that this place is special. Spent 3 or 4 different times there and we really had a great time. Don't drive by if you are looking for a Bed and Breakfast because you will want to stay there always.

I travel for work and checked out The Shack as alternative, it was much more than I expected. The location is serene, sits up next to a beautiful lake and more than 20 acres of forest to explore. The rooms are cabin like with options for whirlpool tubes, or a small kitchen. The beds appeared comfortable (only went fro a...

Very nice lodge with cozy rooms - different room types & rates: hot tub, fireplace, facing lake, etc. Includes full breakfast and nightly banana splits, also dinner option in summer. Out in the middle of nowhere, but very nice and relaxing.

We needed a get away and found this gem basically in the middle of nowhere. It is secluded and quiet. We stayed in room 160 in the Livery and it was wonderful, very clean and had a king bed, two person Jacuzzi and fireplace. The dinner and breakfast were very good, and the evening banana splits were wonderful. There was...

What a wonderful surprise! It was everything advertised and more! We stayed in a beautiful log cabin room. It was October and the grounds were beautifully decorated as was the main lodge. The dining hall was beautifully decorated with all log cabin furniture. We had breakfast and dinner both days and the food was wonderful! They also have complimentary ice...

What a beautiful, blessed visit! The best service from caring staff, lovely bedrooms...fun game rooms and pleasant walking paths outdoors. Meals in the grand dining room were amazing and the evening banana splits were delightful. Def a resort that does the little things that make a difference! Will certainly be back soon!

Kind family and servers. Comfortable rooms with hot tubs rooms available. Paddle boats for use, weather permitting on the adjoining lake. Wonderful meals served for supper, banana splits, choose your own ice cream, etc, with Mean Marv scooping your requests. Come morning, coffee, juice and warm food, again greet your day, and get you motivated for another.......Nice getaway, quiet walks...

Found this little gem a few years ago and have returned every year for a relaxing day and evening. We stay in one of the out buildings instead of the main lodge. We always get the fireplace / hot tub room. Very large rooms! We love to go up to the main lodge and sit on the porch overlooking the...
