I took my fiancée here for her birthday at short notice - I was trying to get a Spa day initially. In the end we stayed over on the Friday night and used the spa on the Saturday - which you are allowed to do at no extra charge if you are a hotel guest. Our overnight package included a...

Been here before and liked it then too-still good. Food fine-lovely short strolls round garden, overlooking the river. Bar prices somewhat off-putting-strange how these places make huge efforts the get the rest right and then charge so much for low cost drinks that it spoils the experience...

Upon arrival the exterior looked tired and in need of a good lick of paint. The interior is cosy with beautiful views. We had pre-drinks beforehand and the bar staff where very friendly and provided nuts and olives. We had afternoon tea with champagne at £35 per head + service charge. The sandwiches and cakes were mediocre and we were...

Stayed here as a group of three ladies on an overnight spa break package, which included a treatment, dinner, room and breakfast. Arrival is pretty special, the setting is lovely and the house itself is fab. The room we stayed in was fine in size (we shared as a three) with a sofa bed in a separate part of the...

I was really looking forward to champagne afternoon tea with 4 other girlfriends. The car park being unsigned was not a good start. The entrance had a little sign. The day and weather was so lovely, for almost spring that the house was set in perfect chilten light and surroundings. Again no signs for reception, or the bathroom, (which had...

My partner and I decided we needed a break and chose a country retreat with spa, and what a great choice that turned out to be! We chose a package including afternoon tea, use of spa and facilities, dinner in the orangery, double room and breakfast. Feb 2014 was our stay. Wanted so badly to enjoy this as my fiance proposed to me on this trip, but the hotel was such a let down, as was the spa. Spa - no where at all to sit, all sun loungers taken up with peoples bags and towels, no system to ensure that people don't reserve chairs that...
