My husband and I visited the weekend of January 31, 2015. The lodge is extremely beautiful and our room was so comfortable! We were the only couple staying on Saturday night so John & Rhonda graciously offered to include us in their evening plans. We went on a wonderful hike with them at the nature preserve near Indian Creek and...

My husband and I don't get away often, so we were hoping to enjoy a rare weekend together. This bed and breakfast was absolutely beautiful, clean, and peaceful. John and Ronda were awesome and took great care of us. They do a great job and we are looking forward to our next visit. You will not be disappointed!

From the secluded beautiful setting on the Sturgeon river to the amazingly comfortable lodging, this is a great place to stay! The log home is gorgeous and the owners are friendly and warm. I normally wouldn't stay at a B&B but this was lovely. Breakfast was yummy and I loved my room. I would definitely recommend staying here. If you're...

Loved the Silent Sport Lodge from the beginning. welcomed in the driveway by one of our hosts and from that moment on the experience was peaceful, relaxing and quiet. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and the sitting rooms on each level give options for gathering in small groups or all together in the gorgeous sunroom overlooking the gardens. The...

This beautiful home is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy nature. We enjoyed our short stay at Silent Sport Lodge by walking some of the trails and wandering around the gardens. In the evening, we relaxed to some music in the sunroom and watched a hummingbird just feet away from us on the feeder. Our room was very quiet...

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to come to, and yet it is close to Petoskey, Glen Arbor, Traverse City etc. The gardens were just starting to come into bloom. A great place to watch for birds--we saw finches, jays, grosbeaks, oriels, and woodpeckers just to name a few. The breakfasts were good and...

This march was our second visit with Ronda and John and we had another very memorable stay. We went on a horse drawn carriage ride and a gourmet dinner in petosky on Saturday night. During the day we went snow shoeing and watched the birds from the sun room window. Friday we had a guided tour of the property; which...

We arrived in a snowstorm (18” by the time is ended) to a very warm reception from Rhonda and John. They offered hot cocoa and tea while we settled in and decompressed from the ride. The lodge is absolutely beautiful. Our original dinner plans were too far to travel in the storm so we tried the restaurant that Rhonda and...

If you like the quiet winter sports--cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife viewing--this is the place for you. Hosts Rhonda and John are wonderfully accommodating. They emailed us about a local activity (a snowshoe outing at a local nature preserve) to see if we wanted to participate and even offered to rent snowshoes for us before our arrival so we wouldn't miss...

Beautiful winter landscape everywhere you looked. The perfect escape for quiet moments. The hosts John and Rhonda were wonderful offering lots of conversation. The breakfasts were excellent. It was so quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed snow shoeing on the trails. We woke up to 8" of new snow and enjoyed helping shovel the snow. Great bird watching. While venturing outdoors we...

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Winter is truly beautiful here especially if you get out and enjoy it as you did. Of course watching the birds from the warmth of the dining area lent itself to some great photos. Thanks for sharing those and for the fantastic cards you made with them! Hope to see you again (maybe for...
