We had a great time Turtle Shores was amazing so much room no one felt crowded. We had 19 people and had a great time. The lake has a bit more weeds and much then I care for and we had a little problem with a jet ski otherwise a great vacation. Will be going back again.

I love northern Minnesota ma and pa resorts and this is the best one our family has ever visited. First, Turtle Lake is stunningly beautiful and extremely clean. Plus it is big enough, but not too big to be a good fishing and recreational lake. Second, Arcadia lodge is on the premier location on the lake with the resort located...

Stayed here August 2016 with a group of 13. Resort Pros: 1. Nice sandy beach area that has sectioned off area for little kids. This was great as it kept the littles from going too far and kept the huge swath of teenagers away from the littles. 2. Beautiful lake. I cannot say enough nice things about the lake. It's...

A favorite place for our large (60+) yearly family gathering. Great accommodations for large and small groups. Fun beach with lots of water toys. Beautiful location on Big Turtle Lake and just a short drive to Bigfork to replenish supplies. Golf is nearby and several state parks in the area. We have been coming here for several years and have...

We rented the Blue Spruce motel room, in the lodge building. It's not in the lodge, rather it's outside and up stairs. It had what we needed, a micro, small fridge, coffee maker and even a toaster. But, we had to ask for coffee packets for our second morning as we didn't get housekeeping. Also, one of the coffee cups...

The lodge was beautiful. We had a large group that went and we partied all night. No complaints. There's a great beach area with lots of fun activities. I was disappointed that their tree company was shredding trees right by the beach and all the dust flew our way. No courtesy at all. The price was not set so we...

So much fun. Had a 8 bedroom cabin for 10 of us. The cabin was just awesome. Clean and comfortable. Huge kitchen and living room. The bedrooms were big and bed were pretty good. Lots to do on the water and on shore. But the best part was the owner. I forgot his name now but was by far the...

Arcadia Lodge has great potential. But our family was disappointed with our experience. Upon arrival we were greeted by severely overflowing trash dumpsters which stayed that way all week. Our cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned and we felt compelled to clean it ourselves before unpacking. The flatware and glassware were a joke-- 2 wineglasses for a 3 BR cabin?...

My family and I stayed at Arcadia Lodge for my sister's wedding in Sept. The accomodations and the staff are phenomenal!! Every single person on staff at this resort is so friendly and willing to do anything to accommodate their guests. The beach and water toys provide endless hours of entertainment for kids. The cabins are beautiful, clean and have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We invite you to start your family's own vacation tradition at Arcadia Lodge this year. Located on the shores of Big Turtle Lake, Arcadia Lodge is a Minnesota family resort located in the north-central part of the state, 30 miles north of Grand Rapids, just off the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway. It is completely surrounded by the Chippewa National Forest. Sparkling clear blue waters, the call of the loon, a soaring eagle and the tranquility of a new born fawn are all part of the true northwoods getaway that guests experience here. We have 21 cabins and three motel-style lodge units to choose from. The cabins range from two huge 10-bedroom lodges and three six bedroom cabins that are perfect for family reunions, to two, three, four and five bedroom cabins with all the amenities. There's even a cozy single bedroom cabin for two. All the cabins feature modern conveniences like air conditioning, satellite TV, kitchens with automatic dishwashers, electric coffee makers and microwaves, and full baths with both tub and shower. The majority of our cabins have gas fireplaces and each cabin has its own deck and/or screened porch with patio tables and chairs or picnic tables and a charcoal grill. Weekly cabin rentals include free dock space for your own boat. Three spacious Lodge Rooms are located above the main lodge and offer motel-type lodging in a resort atmosphere. The single room units have two queen beds, a full bath with tub and shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, microwave, mini-fridge and a coffee maker. The large Norway Pine Suite has air conditioning, satellite TV, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a comfortable living room and dining area, and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. It also has a large private deck overlooking the lake. The Lodge Rooms are available for single night rentals as well as by the week. ... more   less
