We checked in and our first room was outdated and had dirty carpets and the curtains were literally falling off the windows. Front desk argued about putting us in a different room and finally did. Second room was pool side and noisey, the carpets were dirty, the bathroom floor had pubic hairs all over, the toilet had mold around the...

We stayed in a smoke-free room on the 12th floor (which is completely smoke-free) and thought we would be fine, but our room had a slight smell of smoke that actually got WORSE throughout the night. Both my wife and I ended up with stuffy noses and headaches due to the smoke. On top of that, the sauna wasn't working,...

We stayed at the casino out of convenience. It was a good stopping point since we were traveling with 4 little kids. We had 3 rooms in total which we booked far in advance and were ensured would be close together. Not the case... one was on a different floor. The rooms were nothing special and were pretty beat up....

We had a long day of driving the North Shore of Lake Superior, and we stopped at the Black Bear Casino Resort for the night. The room was very nice. It had floor to ceiling windows overlooking a field and part of the parking lot. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was really big. Being a casino, there...

For Veterans day they got a free t-shirt, buffet and gambling monies. The buffet is always great--breakfast, lunch or supper. They must have served a minimum of 3000 people. We have never, EVER, had a bad meal there.

It's been a while since we stayed here. We usually stay here to hike the north shore and jay Cooke state park.We ended up getting a room in the old part of the hotel. What a dump. The carpet was badly stained. The furniture was beat to death. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly. I would pass on this...

My daughter and I stayed at the Black Bear Casino Resort Hotel in the tower area. It was completely smoke free. We were there for a conference and wanted to be sure to stay away from the smoke. The beds were VERY comfortable, the room clean, and bathroom sparkled. One complaint we had was that the young women in the...

They definitely had a ventilation problem as the smell of smoke (from the Casino) filtered up into the second floor halls and rooms of smoke free rooms! Terrible! We had to keep the air conditioner going all the time and then we could sleep. The Hotel itself was nice and nicely furnished. Very comfortable beds! We ate breakfast at the...

First visit in over a year. Hotel and casino very large, lots of room to move around. All staff very friendly. Very nice looking grounds and property. Lots of slots and variety as well. Convenient location near the freeway and other local attractions.

I have a cabin nearby so I stop by on occasion for a beer and to people watch. I'm not much of a gambler. First I must say the air is thick with smoke. Not sure why people chain smoke while gambling but I guess its the last public place that allows it so they are making up for lost...
