We visited and stayed at Tembe 3.5 years ago and were aware that some renovations had taken place. We were hoping that Tembe had not lost its charm and are delighted to stay that great hospitality and finesse have not only been maintained but in fact expectations have been exceeded. The staff provide exceptional as well as personalised service, the...

From the singing greeting to the singing goodbye, this is a great place. Tom and his guides are skilled and fun, and we saw lots of wildlife, especially elephants. Accomdation and food are luxurious. Lots of sand.

We enjoyed our stay at this community driven park. The quality of bedding etc has something to desire as we couldn't get away from the effect of humidity... however value for money is great and we loved the atmosphere created by local staff which feels a bit different from other more typical game parks. The park is beautiful/serene and the...

We stayed for two nights in Jan. 2017 to celebrate my birthday. Tembe Elephant Lodge is just amazing. The staff is well trained and friendly, Tom is always interacting with the guests. The accommodation is spotless, privately located in the forest and the decor is sophisticated. A real "Out of Africa" feeling. The food is excellent and all meals are...

We stayed here for three nights, and we were fortunate enough to have great weather the whole time. The staff were kind and accommodating (if anything, over-accommodating), and when we arrived too late for the first afternoon game drive, a driver agreed to take us out for a short drive, where we came across a herd of huge elephants! The...

Having been to many game reserves in South Africa when we lived there before moving to Canada, we would have to say this ranks right up there on the places to return to! Tom and his team were attentive to all our needs. The accommodation was also excellent with understated luxury. The outdoor private spa/massage tent was a wonderful bonus...

Here is a destination for a great African experience. The hospitality is outstanding. The food is good. The tents we stayed in reminded us of the luxury we experienced in the Serengeti. The organization of meal times, game drives and entertainment is excellent. Tom, one of the managers, needs to be lauded for his constant attention. Considering all that is...

Although not on the main track for tourists it can be reached easily on good roads. Tembe is being run by members of the local tribe and they do it well. You are being welcomed by the girls singing some traditional songs and then guided to your - quite comfortable - tent. Tembe Park is not very big, but you...
