Hotel is very clean and the location is awesome! Some rooms have views of Lake Superior. Right in front of the hotel is the Lake Walk, which is a boardwalk for strolling. There is a separate paved area for wheeled, non-motorized vehicles. You can walk downtown although some may think it is a hike. The other way is the pier,...

I can not apologize enough that your room was not ready until shortly after the guaranteed check in time of 3pm. Unfortunately you had reserved a specific room type that we only have one of, so we were unable to change your room number. The only option would have been to down grade you on a near sold out night....

This motel is in a very good location close to the canals and the famous bridge. Surprisingly small hallways and odd construction in that from our room on the first floor we could hear, loudly, every footstep from the people above us and they took a lot of footsteps. I assume it is a construction issue but it was very...

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the noise from above. You are correct that it is due to the type of construction. I believe we are a wood frame building which is not the best for noise cancellation. We do appreciate your business and hope you will stay with us again. Feel free to request a top floor...

Wonderful service and a fun, convenient location in Canal Park, close to restaurants, shops and, of course, beautiful Lake Superior. We loved watching the ships come in. Love this hotel in Duluth in the winter or the summer!

Great location. Easy access to walk to several neat places and great food. Board walk is wonderful. Lake is beautiful. Hotel needs some updates, carpet is old and needs work. Bathrooms are nice but showers need redoing, ours had green mold in the grout lines. Windows open so it was nice to open them and listen to the water all...

Nice rooms with comfortable beds. View from Lakeview room is spectacular. Right on the lakeshore walking path and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants on the Canal Park area. Also a short walk to downtown.

Stayed here to complete a week trip in Minnesota and we had never been to Duluth before. Great location, right on the lake walk, very walkable to restaurants and shops of downtown. Friendly staff and nice lobby with views of Lake Superior! A good place to stay in Duluth especially if you want to walk to the downtown and lake...

What we loved about this place: - Location is perfect steps from the lake walk, shops, restaurants - Staff, particularly the Front Desk (Alonzo was friendly, courteous and with a warm smile every time we saw him!) - Pool. Nothing fancy but they keep it warm and they have balls for the kids to play! What could be improved: -...

Thank you for your kind words about our hotel. I'm sorry to hear the breakfast and pool area left a bit to be desired. However your honest review is most appreciated. I will be checking in with the breakfast crew to see how we can improve on replenishing foods quicker and find out if it is the food item or...

Hampton is located right on Lake Superior. Sitting at breakfast we could look out on the sunrise. Centrally located and a great walking area and several nice parks. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was quite and restful.

Nice place - a bit high on the price for what we got. We are completely aware of the prime location in Canal Park and the season, but we stayed at a nicer hotel in Minnesota in a prime golf and resort area that same week for less than half the price. In our other room we got a deck...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Hampton Inn. I apologize you felt the cost was high even though we do stay competitive with other Canal Park hotels. We do honor AAA and AARP discounts, however when a room is booked through a third party or prepaid through a third party, we are unable to change the rates...

The hotel is definitely old and in need of a renovation. They should start on this sooner rather than later. Rooms are super small. No room on the counter in the bathrooms. Bathroom was dingy, as well as the bathtub. That said, it was still clean. Rooms in the summer are rather expensive, but it was sold out so the...

Thank you for your review! I do apologize you felt the hotel was a bit outdated and worn. We did just get all new mattresses put in all of our 103 rooms. We also have plans in the works for a nice update now that we are almost 20 years old. The nice thing about being a Hampton Inn is...
