Well thought out place. Nice comfortable and well decorated rooms. Gives the woodsy atmosphere. Plenty of flowers and recycle bins. A bit tight on parking and they charge for ice. Free coffee and rolls in the morning tho.

Thank you for your review and thank you for staying with us. I would like to mention however, we only charge for ice if you are buying bags of ice. We do not charge for ice to use in your rooms. So I do apologise for that confusion.

We loved staying at Adventure Inn the night before our BWCA trip. The owners were friendly and happily welcomed our big dog. We stayed in Room 10 on the first floor, which was a handicapped room so it had a big bathroom. The beds were nice and soft and we slept soundly. For dinner, we asked for a recommendation for...

Thank you for your kind words. I am so happy that your stay was a good one in all respects. Your dog was very well behaved and an object of great conversation. We are very pet friendly and enjoy meeting great dogs as well.

We stayed here for a night in June. We had a 2 bedroom kitchen suite. The place is really clean and has everything you need for cooking. Two things to note: They don't have an oven or grill. The toilet is separate from the shower which we loved. I would recommend asking for a first floor room because they have...

Thank you for your review and kind words. All of our Kitchen Suites are upstairs so hard to put table and chairs outside of your room. Next time you visit, please feel free to use the porch area or the sunny small deck to sit. Those areas are open to all irregardless of room location. We enjoy having our guests...

I traveled to Ely Minnesota for my annual sojourn to the Wolf Sanctuary right down the road from the Adventure Inn. First road trip for my pups to Ely. My room was extremely comfortable, warm and inviting. I don't know if was the mattress pad, the down Comforter OR the down-filled pillows, but the bed was a total delight! I...

Thank you Maggie for all your kind words. Your pups behaved themselves and will always be welcome here. We are very pet friendly though have a number of rooms that do not accept pets. Our guest's comfort is very important to us and we value every one. I am glad you appreciated the down bedding. Our mattresses are Euro topped...

There are a lot of lodging options in Ely. Even the main drag of town has nearly a dozen choices to pick from. Having stayed at several of these, I have to say the Adventure Inn was my favorite and here is why Pros: Was decorated in a log cabin/northwoods feel ---very nice touch Extremely clean and updated ---everything from...

The Adventure Inn has two buildings -- a log building with "north woods decor" and a new solar building with modern decor. I stayed in the solar wing for 4 days during a cold snap (-25F). The heat is provided by a small radiator unit and I was concerned that I would be cold, but the heater proved up to...

I have the pleasure of traveling these parts and enjoy Ely for all it offers. This is my second visit to the Adventure Inn and, even though I was there on business, I was also scouting for "Night Before Entry" BWCA lodging for a group of six adults in June. My first visit last year involved a refined experience in...

Thank you for your kind words and wanting to see if we would work for your BWCA trip next summer. You stayed in one of our kitchen suites which are set up to accommodate a group of people but also to give a bit more privacy. Every year, we work to improve the experience at the Adventure Inn and this...

The owners very friendly, gave us advice on where to eat, and went out of their way to allow us to check in a little early. We had a larger room on an end so it was quiet with plenty of space for 4. The room was clean and comfortable and seemed to have been recently updated. The hotel is...

We were only in Ely for one night, but would love to have stayed longer. The room was very clean, large and comfortable. It felt like home--cotton sheets and towels, no chemical cleaners or scented soaps, a very comfortable bed. It is on the main highway through town, so it was a little noisy first thing in the morning, but...

A great place to hunker down the night before putting in on your canoe trip and to return to civilization when you are done. Rooms are basic but the beds and pillows are comfortable, they are clean, the wi-fi works, and the front desk is very helpful and friendly.
