On our 50th wedding anniversary our kids gave us a week up at Fenske Cabins. We looked forward to it with great anticipation. We decided to take our dog along as she enjoys checking out new places. We arrived and were shown to the Norway cabin. Upon arriving we were told it was a "cold water" cabin, something we had... More

Loved everything about this resort! The cabin was clean beyond the norm. The Family was so kind and helpful. Chase and the girls were fantastic and even though there was a lot of clearing to do after the storm, Laurie always made sure we had all we needed. Such a beautiful spot!!!!!!

My sister in law and I stayed in one of their bunkhouses and used them as our outfitter for a BWCA trip. They were extremely accommodating and kind. The bunkhouse had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot, so was more like a nice camper cabin than a simple bunkhouse. The items that they outfitted us with were top of the... More

Our family of four stayed in the Spruce cabin for a full week. We picked this location because each cabin includes a dock, fishing boat and canoe. There is also a fire ring and grill which makes for some nice evenings. The cabins are spaced nicely to give you plenty of privacy. The lake is amazingly clear and we were... More

This is a beautiful lake resort. Perfectly quiet with beautiful views from all cabins. We stayed in the Norway for 7 nights and the Point for two. Loved them both for different reasons obviously. The Norway is a cold water cabin with no shower and you heat water to do dishes. The Point is a fully functioning 2-bedroom cabin with... More

Noticed there haven't been many reviews over the Summer so I thought it was time to say this is a wonderful place to kick back and veg (or paddle and fish). We spent one week in the White Pine cabin and just loved it. Cabin was clean and equipped with almost everything you could think of. We'd planned to eat... More

We stayed in the Spruce Cabin for a total of 12 days, 5 with just two of us and a week with our grandson. We had a very nice time. As has been said already, there is lots to do in the Ely area, and just canoeing on Fenske Lake is fun, too! We had cookouts on campfires, and played... More

This was our second trip to Fenske Lake. We loved it there last year, and loved it now. Jackpine cabin is very comfortable, the lake is great for fishing and swimming. There are lots of hiking trails nearby - around the lake and within a few miles drive in the superior national forest. Laurie and Chris are great hosts. Our... More

Over the last few years we have been at Fenske 5 times. We stayed in several cabins - all with cold water only and a half bath. We were looking for an rustic cabin experience in a quiet setting and we obviously were not disappointed! We always caught a lot more fish than we could eat - some years catching... More

The Fenske Lake Resort Cabins are truly exceptional. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Jackpine cabin at the beginning of October 2011. The family that owns these cabins were great to work with - they could not have been kinder or more accommodating .The cabin was comfortable and relaxing, with just the right amount of amenities....
