We stayed at the Grand Portage Casino and Lodge on our way to Isle Royale. It's currently under renovation. We didn't partake in the casino, but walked through it. It's cramped, but it's in a temporary location as the new area is being constructed. The rooms were typical hotel rooms. We found the staff to be very accommodating which made...

We stayed at this hotel for a 1 night work stay. From the moment I walked in, I was not impressed. I realize the hotel is under construction, but we had arranged to have conjoined rooms and after check in had to go back and say we didn't. Then when I walked into the room there was a cigarette wrapper...

Stayed one night prior to a backpacking trip on Isle Royale. The checkin attendants were very helpful and accommodated a last minute change in rooms very graciously. The rooms were clean, new, and comfortable. And, the rate was very affordable. Hopefully construction will be comp, teed soon.

The hotel and casino are both under constructions. No pool, hot tub or elevator. Rooms were OK. Customer service was terrible. They has some cheap rates but if you are disabled you won't be able to get through construction areas. Registration staff was a bunch of clueless young people. Messed up the room 4 times and had to walk up...

We booked a nice room with a beautiful view of the lake and we got it. However the blinds did not work and they would not do anything about it and it didn't sound like they ever had any plans to do anything about it. We tied the blinds open with some ropes we had so the joke was on...

Under construction right now but the room I got was very comfortable. The hill view room had a view of a large propane tank. Despite that it was well appointed; the bed was very comfortable, clean and I like the open shower even though the warm water took quite a few moments to manifest. The restaurant closed at 8pm but...

We booked a suite here for an overnight stay and it was just beautiful. Tasteful in every way and the room lacked for nothing. Although the hotel is under construction they are trying not to miss a beat in the service that they are providing. Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent we had the all you can eat pickeral...

Lots of construction, which i did know about in advance, however it is quite extensive and disruptive. Room was quite nice. No complaints there other than the very near by construction being VERY loud, beginning early in the mornings. Hours of operation for any form of dining is quite limited so not overly convenient when next location is an hour...

Had a great stay at the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino. Thought the pricing was very reasonable for rooms with great views of Lake Superior. Hotel was under construction during my visit, but was not horribly inconvenienced. Rooms were clean and spacious. Felt like it was a very good value. Close to the Grand Portage National Monument, Grand Portage State...

Stopped for lunch. Pretty disgusting. Walleye had lots of bones. I have never had potatoes I couldn't recognize before. Non smoking areas stunk like cigarettes. A heavy earth moving machine was parked in front of the windows, hiding the view of the lake. Just don't go.
