cove A wonderful place to relax and chill out. The inn is a single apartment attached to the inn keeper’s home. The apartment includes a living/seating area, a small dining area (with refrig and microwave), a bath with shower, and a bedroom loft with a comfortable king bed. There is also a small porch with a table and chairs, a...

Wish we would have planned in more time to spend here. Gorgeous location. Rick was very helpful in making sure we made it on time to the ferry out to the early Isle Royale National Park. Great breakfast with a hummingbird show out the window. Comfy loft bedroom with a window out to Superior views and sounds. Rick's recommendation of...

This little cottage is located right on Lake Superior. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The owner made us the most delicious breakfast made from scratch. His dog Ruby was a sweetheart! You can fall asleep listening to the gentle waves of the lake from your loft window. Everything was perfect!

What a wonderful place to catch your breath and clear your mind! Sweetgrass Cove is quaint, clean and so very peaceful, with everything you need without all the stuff you are trying to leave behind. It is a relatively unknown gem in northern Minnesota. Each morning you are served the most amazing homemade breakfast. Rick and Rudy were wonderful hosts....

Exceptional in every way. Delicious full breakfast, spectacular views, great amenities, very private. It will recharge your soul!!! Plus the price is great. It is a long drive, but very worth it. Stop in Grand Marias on your way to or from Sweet Grass Cove or go there for dinner. Great restaurants and art galleries in Grand Marais

We stayed with Rick and Ruby, his dog, for one night before we took the Voyageur II over to Isle Royale. We'd had a long drive that day. Rick was welcoming and the Guest House was fantastic -- clean, lovely and well provisioned. The location right on the shore of Lake Superior is extraordinary. My wife and I had wonderful...

My wife and I made the trek to northern Minnesota to visit Isle Royale. Because that visit gas to be planned around ferry traffic to and from the island we needed lodging close to the ferry dock in Grand Portage. We had no interest in staying at the casino and we stumbled upon Sweetgrass Cove. Boy were we lucky. First,...

If you are looking for a private getaway, away from distractions - this is the perfect spot! First of all the location is amazing - right ON Lake Superior. Going to sleep every night to the sound of waves is wonderful. The host made our stay one we won't forget. He's there to make sure you have everything you need...

A friend and I were taking the day trip to Isle Royale National Park and wanted to stay nearby, but the Casino did not appeal because we do not care for smoking. This B&B was the only other option and what a pleasant surprise. The location on the lake is stunning, with a view of a small island filled with...
