This is an old-fashioned, drive-to-your-room door motel. What sets it apart are little things, such as the mini natural history museum in the motel office, with indigenous animals such as a bobcat, a fisher-I had no idea they were so big--ermine, etc. If you get a room in the back, you overlook a small lake. And best of all for...

This motel is old and very basic, along the main road towards Duluth. We did enjoy the full sized refrigerator, but were somewhat disappointed over-all otherwise. Ask for a room in back, further away from traffic.

Room was large, parking easy right outside, quiet. Reasonably comfortable, bathroom clean, lots of hot water. We liked being at the back of the motel site, away from the main road. All in all, a very pleasant overnight stay. Not too expensive.

We decided last minute to get out of town for Labor Day weekend and it was one of the only places available within 100 of Duluth and for less than $100/ night for 3 adults and 1 kid so we went for the drive.. The trip turned out well worth the run up Hwy 2... It was just what I...

The motel is being misrepresented on travel websites. It is basically a dump. Do not stay there! When you first drive in- looks run down. The blinds on all the units were gross ans so we're the air conditioning units that were visible from the outside. They were rusty, old and dirty looking. The office to check in smelled- and...

We stayed there this past weekend, nervous knowing it was an older motel, but not having choices for the better lodging in the area as all were sold out. I had good reason to be nervous, the motel is old, in need of renovation, and dirty. Yep dirty. The bathroom was gross, sink drain didn't work well, and the tub...

Clean and quiet. Wanted a short, quick holiday up north but pocket money was slim. Wanted at least to have a fridge and TV. This place fit the bill. Will stay again. Across the road from a small but peaceful lake.

Never again! Checked in and went to the bathroom to find that the had already been used and was plugged! Immediately went back to the office and got a new room. This one had a king bed and a double bed, but the frame on the king was bent & broken. Good thing there was only 2 of us! The...
