The 4 rooms are in an annex outside overlooking the garden. They are well equipped, but lighting is poor. When we arrived we tried to book a local taxi, without any success. On hearing about this, the manager took us in his car to our family party. The breakfast is great, which is in the pub dinning area. Staff are...

The Sword Inn Hand is a local pub, with four attached B&B rooms. The rooms are small, but cosy and clean. The landlord and staff at the pub made us feel like a part of the family and the level of service was great - they were very accommodating/attentive. Cooked breakfast was provided on weekends and public holidays, with an...

Stayed one night here. Chalet style room round back of pub with views of large garden and countryside - very comfortable and quiet. Quintessentially English village, beautiful location and olde worlde pub. Promised everything. Unfortunately everything spoilt on arrival finding out that there would be no cooked breakfast (no prior mention of this) and that the continental breakfast offered would...

Stayed here for a little over a week and loved it. Excellent food in the evenings (breakfast to order too); decent rooms which are cleaned daily; and probably needless to say, very quiet. Ida, the lady who does the rooms, is lovely. She saw that I had some chicken in the fridge and the next day there was butter, a...

I stayed at The Sword Inn Hand during my business trip to London and surroundings recently. What a great place! I love the accommodation, the food is excellent, and the people working there are very friendly too. A very cosy room, with coffee facilities and TV. Quaint... It feels just like at home. Totally recommended!

We stayed here last year and enjoyed our room so much and the whole ambiance of the pub that we booked in again. We were not disappointed. On our last visit I mentioned the need for Wi Fi in the rooms. It has been installed, avoiding dashes to the pub to go on line !! well done Jeremy for listening...

A great combination of pub, restaurant &b&b. The service is among the most friendly and courteous I have experienced anywhere. Nothing is too much & I loved the proactive approach the staff took. The rooms are well proportioned *furnished with character. Highly recommended... & great value

Dirty glasses and empty crisp packets on tables outside from the night before, saw a member of staff throw dirty ashtrays outside on stones, smelly loos. They need to sharpen up, as disappointed. Beautiful pub in beautiful village, food pricey, but good, BUT very slow service for food to arrive.

I cannot recommend his place enough. We stayed in room 4 while is out the back and slightly away from the main pub and was presented to such a high standard, with a lovely bed and massive bath. The pub itself is typically charming and traditional but in no way dated or tired. We were sad we didn't get the...
