This is the perfect place to go if you just want to spend time away from everything. There is so many different things to do on this property. John and Sandra are the perfect hosts and you meet so many wonderful people. This isn't your ordinary B &B, it is a wonderful get away from life. I would recommend it

This is a B&B which delivers. John and Sandy are excellent hosts who are hospitable and welcoming. They are masters at making you feel like family. It is all the advertising says it is with a bit of panache. There are even golf carts you can use to tour the many acres. You share this paradise with birds, deer, and a couple...

Woodland Trails Bed and Breakfast is exceptional in every way! The room was perfect with an incredible view. The three course breakfast (with dessert!) was absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail throughout and in every way was shockingly fantastic and how genuinely welcomed we were made to feel by Innkeepers John and Sandra was a rare occurrence in travel. With...

Having never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast we were very excited for our first experience. If I had to sum it up in one short phrase I would say "Freaking Awesome!" First off I believe I have never been any where that when I first entered the door I was greeted by name. This was a welcomed warm friendly...

We stayed in the St. Croix room for our anniversary and it was great. We saw many deer and birds. The food was excellent at the B&B and we had supper at the local Fish Bowl Bar. The decor and facilities was modern and beautiful. The conversation with owners was very nice too! We just loved it all!

We celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary at Woodland Trails this July. Sandra and John are amazing hosts, the food was incredible, the little extras (like soft drinks, coffee, snacks), the gorgeous setting, and the assistance they provide for enjoying the area make this a "must try it for yourself" destination.

This place is immaculate inside and out. Stayed in the St Croix room (only room on lower level) and it was unbelievable for our anniversary getaway. John and Sandra treat you like family, there if you need them for anything while respecting privacy. They have thought of everything for a romantic stay. The decor, lighting, music, 3 course breakfast with...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Newly built as a Minnesota bed and breakfast, Woodland Trails’ rustic decor, generous common areas and modern construction set it apart from restored Victorian facilities. Conveniently located on the Wisconsin border between Hinckley, MN and Danbury, WI, Woodland Trails is less than 2 hours from the Twin Cities, St. Cloud or Eau Claire, WI and just over an hour from Duluth / Superior. Women love the clean, cozy, welcoming atmosphere and innkeeper Sandra's decorating. Men love the rustic atmosphere, including a replica of Jim Jordan's world record buck hanging over the fireplace, and the many things to do both inside and outside. Woodland Trails overlooks Grace Lake Too, our private pond that offers endless bird and wildlife watching opportunities, along with canoeing and paddle boating. Our Minnesota inn is located on 500 acres of woodland with miles of private trails. Guests can enjoy a stroll around the pond or a long hike to the "back 40." From May through October, golf carts are available for touring in comfort. The perfect Minnesota vacation! Combine lodging at Woodland Trails with a visit to Grand Casino Hinckley. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, canoeing and bird-watching. ... more   less
